"Found this restaurant whilst wandering away from the slightly busier, tourist area. A good sign was that the menu was written in Spanish on a blackboard on the wall and the restaurant was full of Spanish speakers/ locals. Although we can't speak Spanish, the exceptionally friendly and helpful lady r..."unning the restaurant patiently went though it with us. The decoration and atmosphere was authentic, the tapas and smaller plates, pincho were the most delicious we had during our stay. Particularly the salmon tartar and scallops.
It was really a delight to eat here. I will definitely return and would highly recommend it.

"I ate here about ten years ago, and remembered the delicious food and friendly explanations about mixtures of spices, origins of curry types (did you know Vindaloo comes from the Portuguese? And that Balti comes from Birmingham and not India?)

In the menu, wine and water are included, and you keep getting topped up all the time.
They are all very firendly people too, so I ...

"Famous for its decor, lots of fruits and flowers indoors, nice courtyard with fountain and piped operas. There don't serve meals, except about half dozen desserts on the menu.
Pricey cocktails (16 euros each) that's not exceptional, but what you're paying for is being there for the experience.

The waiters are a bit up their own - perhaps that's part of the theatrical effect. Our bill came with the cocktails we ordered.
Unless you're on a tight budget, go and see it and experience it.
There is a sign next to the entrance that taking photos are prohibited, but I have seen patrons doing so, and nothing is said.
