  "We are staying in Bourges for 2 weeks so making the rounds of the local restaurants. Saw the menu earlier in the day and came back to try the coq au vin. Arrived after 8pm and the place was quite full but were seated at the last table for 2, politely. Nice appetizer of foie gras,served with a warn fig/fruit blend - nice. We had the coq au vin and the emince de magret de canard with oyster mushrooms. Both main dishes came with a green lettuce, some broiled tomato and a potato/leek/cheese side that was quite nice. The coq au vin was different than experienced elsewhere with quite a thick heavy sauce. The emince du magret de canard had a piece of bacon on top (very Berrichone, I think) with a good sauce accompanied by the mushrooms. Cooked to a dark rare as you'd expect, but quite rich and flavorful and nicely seared on the outside. ... " More >
