"Eccentric pub (agricultural type galvanised metal construction, sawdust on floor, adjacent abandoned rail-station platform with dummies and train soundtrack). Very adequate portions of pub staples including faggots and peas. The home-cooked thickly-sliced cold ham was particularly good and served w..."ith nicely cooked chips. The in-house brewed beer is very good. The pub is situated off the beaten track in the magnificent Preseli hills.
Although attractive to tourists, the atmosphere is authentic, with a high proportion of Welsh-speaking locals showing their appreciation.

"This was my first trip to the Allt Yr Afon and it will certainly not be the last! Friends booked the restaurant for a birthday treat and Having heard lots of good things about it, I had high hopes...Boy, was I going to be impressed!

Simply delicious! My fellow diners also reported excellent food...melting Beef Bourginoun, tas...

"Just returned from a surprise Fathers Day afternoon tea at Paskeston Hall. What a surprise! What a stunning house - we were in the lounge/library with its comfy leather sofas to select our variety tea - what a range to choose from. We were then ushered in to the dining room with its blazing log fire..." to be greeted with a 3-teir plate full of goodies - sandwiches (mint and cucumber was my favourite) and cakes galore. Superb!
Well worth popping in for the experience, food and such friendly owners (and the dogs).
Hopefully be back for the Christmas offering :-)
