Lunchtime specials for £4.99 included scampi, and fish and chips. You can add a starter for £2 and/or a pudding for £2. The ..."scampi looked quite nice, no complaints from the ladies, and served with chips and a choice of mushy or garden peas. My fish and chips were especially impressive and drew envious remarks. The restaurant was surprisingly very quiet and service was attentive and pleasant. We didn't raise any eyebrows with the wine voucher, so weren't made to feel uncomfortable. Although already quite full, 2 of our number couldn't resist the lure of the £2 dessert. The chocolate fudge cake was large, served with a jug of cream and presented very attractively.
