Now for the strange part, we also both chose the same main course of poached cod with samphire and shellfish sauce, i didn't recognize half of what was on my plate with is refreshing for me as we eat out so much it was a pleasure to be astounded and confused. My taste buds didn't quite know how to react, the butternut squash puree was black with squid , the crushed potatoes were purple, there was apple puree too with samphire, shellfish foam, poached fennel and poached cod with a paprika coating.   "We are not huge Indian meal aficionados but have to say our carry out from Bugatti was excellent. Phoned them, took advice and 30 mins later had superb meal at home. Food tasted fresh. Herbs and spices were different in each dish. Will use again."

  "The Plaisterers Arms doesn't look like much from the outside, but is actually quite sizeable. Inside it is a traditional English pub: dark with huddled corners to sit in. Despite Winchcombe being a bit of a tourist trap, the Plaisterers is just like a normal 'local' pub. The service was friendl..."y and there were some actual locals drinking at the bar, rather than the usual soul-less 'gastro-pub'. My wife and I both had the pulled pork and beetroot. It was delicious. The chips they served were also delicious. The price was good too: just £6.50. We've been to a few pubs in Winchcombe before but we'll definitely return to this one. " More >
