  "So every year we visit Cornwall, every year we use trip advisor to choose the B&B and top restaurant for our 'one' treat night out. We have eaten at Couchs in Polperro and Salamander in Mevagissey, this time we chose Squid Ink in Looe. The restaurant is in the centre of Looe and very easy to find...". It's cosy, warm and welcoming. You are led to the seating area where you get chance to order a drink and take a look at the menu before ordering your food and waiting to be moved over to your table when they are ready. They most probably stagger the table bookings as people arrived in 15 mins gaps, this is a brilliant idea as if everyone arrived for a 19.30 sitting the sofa area would have been cramped! The waitress who took our order was new, but she was incredibly friendly and when we asked about the dishes she didn't know the answer but was quick to ask the owner and get one for us.   "Called in on a Sunday for lunch. Ordered the regular haddock and chips and the portion was huge, I dread to think how big the extra large portion is. You can sit downstairs and order at the counter, or upstairs for waiter service. We sat upstairs, they took our order after 5 mins and the food ..."came about 15 mins later. Fish was absolutely excellent and I am a fussy fish eater - £8.95. The only question to ask on visiting a restaurant, is would I eat here again... and we would definately. :-) " More >
