  "In the back of the restaurant you'll see a sign, "In here, the food does not wait for the customer. The customer waits for the food. Thank you for your patience." It's right next to the other sign "Quality food is not fast food." This pretty much says it all for Sawasdee. Great rustic atmosphere ..."and decorations. Most tables are inside with a few out next to the street looking south towards the ocean. Since the wharf is right across the street, the views are great during the day. At night, the wharf is packed full of souvenir, clothing and pirated dvd stands. During the busy season the place is packed. You may have to wait. Even during low season it does quite well and while you may have to wait for your food, it don't matter when you have good company. We usually gauge local restaurants by how well they prepare deep fried shrimp. There's nothing worse than soggy thick batter on a not so hot shrimp.
