  "OK - do not go here is you want delicately served nouveau cusine. We found the BM by accident needing lunch for the family including "active" 4 year twins. What we got was a pretty damn good pub that is what it is. Firstly ( not our primary need) it serves ( an apparently ever changing) select..."ion of very well kept beer. These are likely to improve when it opens its own micro brewery. Secondly the food was good pub food. A small choice (maybe 6 or so options) of pub food. Nothing you could not cook yourself but all freshly made to order and really tasty. Thirdly the landlady (Colette) was fantastic - she asks your name, including our children, and wants to talj to customers.   "Went to this Pub 18/05/2013 while on Long Weekend break ,We were told about this little pub with Big meals by a local person , we rang up to book and arrived at 1830hrs . there was 6 in our party ,we had a drink at the bar and were shown our table ,the owner took our order and we did'nt have to wait..." that long as it was Freshly cooked to order .We had 3 Rump steaks all from a local butcher and all at different stages of cooking= rare/medium/well done ,2 Fresh not frozen Hake in beer batter , and one small portion of sausage which resembled a small fat snake .it must have been at least 1/2 a pound .all the meals came with proper chip,s peas and fresh salad . the steaks also had onion ring,s and mushroom,s they also had a very good selection of Beer,s , cider ,and lagers..The sausage meal came with mash and gravy . The staff were very friendly as was the Landlady . Well Worth a Visit " More >
