Although the menu is small, it is straight to the point. With an added daily special it is quite sufficient. This was my 4th time here since it opened. By far the best experience ever. The shrimp gumbo starter brought me back to Montrell's bistro in New Orleans, a rich dark flavourful broth I was so hesitant to share with... More

Went for dinner with my wife and the food was incredible as was the service. Having enjoyed many restaurants in Louisiana we were afraid of being disappointed. I can say that we were not at all. Food was spiced appropriately as many Louisiana restaurants tend to think it had to burn your mouth to be authentic, which is not true.... More

Took advantage of lunch prices to eat at this small, hidden gem. Nestled at the far corner of this otherwise quite strip mall on St Jean Blvd, Bistro Nolah is certainly worth the visit. Firstly, our waiter Mathieu was a true connoisseur. He explained to us in detail the contents of all the menu items. He service was impeccable as... More

Having been to Mother's and Parkway in NOLA and now NOLA in DDO the restaurant here on the West Island, I promis, you need to experience all three restaurants, they are all very different. I will only talk about NOLA DDO.... For me it was amazing service, great patio and a very mouth watering menu. The boneless ribs I ordered... More

Not my first visit ...and certainly won't be my last... Fried oysters were tender and crisp Crab cakes were exactly what they should be... Shrimp and grits were a party in my mouth... And the service is beyond courteous and professional ...great ambiance.. If you haven't been ...you need to get on it fast

It was very good. The started us off with a free hush puppy each, I guess an amuse bouche. My wife had the grilled octopus, it was really good, and had a very tasty sauce. I had the crab cake, it was ok. For our mains, my wife had the short rib, I had the pan seared scallops, on a... More

Living in the West Island for too many years, never heard about this little neighbourhood gem. Not your usual steak and seafood or veal and pasta, this restaurant has a very small menu specializing in New Orleans cuisine. Wine list also limited but well priced and enough to choose from. My wife and I enjoyed this as it was so... More

We took friends here that had never had Louisiana style food. We were very pleased we did. I had one of the best duck confits I have ever eaten, and at the other end of the scale, one of our party had a very rich mac 'n cheese. The shrimp creole had real heat. The octopus starter was loved by... More

Really quaint little spot with a nice outside terrasse surrounded by cedars. Food is Mediterranean not really my style but my hubby enjoyed it. Soups are really good though.
