Excellent restaurant tucked away in Blue Haven Shopping center

Excellent evening at Bistro Nolah. Greeted warmly by the staff and it stayed that way all night. We had a lot of questions and the waiter took his time to explain everything patiently. Hide away in a quiet blue heaven alley, this restaurant deserves more exposure. Great variety, great services, the bread was stale but we are not here for bread. Entree, main were just right. It's rare west island can offer some variety other than pizza, buffet, and hamburger. Loving it.

We had SOUTHERN CEVICHE (absolutely delicious), grilled octopus (mium) as apetizers. SHRIMP CREOLE WITH JAMBALAYA and some BLACK FISH as main course. The service was excellent. It is a bit expensive but I think it is well worth it. I must admit though that it is rather noisy. An excellent evening overall.

My husband took me out for our anniversary, and he picked a stellar place! The place is quaint, and the menu size is very reasonable. I had the Louisiana Crab Cakes, which were crispy on the outside, and soft and plentiful on the inside - not to mention the delicious sauce that accompanied them! My husband had the gumbo &... More

This is the third time that I have been to Nolah's. I get "wowed" every time that I dine here. The food is fresh, deliciously prepared and spiced to perfection. Chef and culinary team, just gets how food should be prepared and presented. My guest had the catfish this week, it was amazing! I stuck to the Shrimp Creole with... More

We had the crab cake and the octopus entrees which were so amazing. I had the shrimp and grits, which was a complete culinary experience, it was spicy but not too spicy, just right! The wine selection was good with many affordable wines on their list. Desert was the beignet which was great, my friend had the bread pudding which... More

We came to this restaurant with high expectations, having read all the rave reviews on this site and others, and having seen it featured on the local news. After many failed attempts (albeit last minute) to get a reservation on a Saturday, we were able to get in on a Friday evening without difficulty. As we both love Cajun style... More

Had supper here with some girl friends. We found the food to be absolutely terrific. Shared some appetizers....ceviche, crab cakes and grilled octopus. All of which were delicious. The octopus was especially great and was served over black rice. I ordered the grilled scallops. They were tender and delicious. I would go back and order the same thing since I... More

The food was pricey but most of the party of six found the taste accepable. I has seared scallops which tasted very fishy, either under cooked and/or stale dated. I have been to New Orleans several times and always enjoyed Cajan food. I had consulted their web site before making reservations. The wine list was complete and accepable. The wine... More

I am not really sure what to say about this restaurant, service was good, meal was terrible and chef much tooooooo slow. We started with the grilled octopus, which was not grilled and way too salty. As a matter of fact all the dishes we had were way too salty. I am not quite sure why people are raving about this restaurant,as far... More

Thank you for taking the time to review our restaurant. We truly value the opinions of our customers and we apologize that we did not meet your expectations.
