A wonderful lunch !

$95 a head for a 3 course lunch, in a delightful isolated setting. Wines were around $20 a glass. Silent, but attentive service, in a grand room overlooking the distant golf course, then right up the coast toward Napier. Seared scallops and peas, with roast lamb as the main. Tow lovely dinners and breakfasts in this restaurant. Everything was fresh and beautifully prepared and presented. The wine list was a little daunting; while impressive there was very little under $100/bottle. Notwithstanding this, everyone hand a great time!

This is a beautiful setting and the food and service are exceptional. There was a small group of us had dinner at the Farm and the evening was quite special. Its relatively expensive but well worth the money for the experience

I did send a very high profile review some months back lauding the farm but at a recent visit I was shocked to go a so far for a fixed menu that was in town.no better than any average restaurant

The 5 course degustation was to die for and combined with the wine pairings, well, you'd find that pretty hard to beat anywhere in NZ.

Had the most wonderful lunch on Easter Saturday. The location is amazing, as was the ambience, food, and service. Simply the best lunch I have had in a long time. Not cheap but excellent value. Thoroughly recommended.

A special birthday dinner at The Farm was an experience to savour. The 8 course degustation menu was wonderfully varied and filled with some exceptional dishes and flavours. The highlight of which was the scallop ( or chicken for non-seafood fans) infused with Manuka smoke, served in a jar which when opened released the Mauku smoke creating both a wonderful... More

We enjoyed lunch towards the end of the June FAWC promotion as a chance to appreciate the lodge as locals. From the moment our car was whisked away for parking we were entranced and delighted. Service was attentive and confident, the food an evolving pleasure with attention to personal requirements, the wine list extensive and beautifully presented. Seated in the... More

Best meal in New Zealand. Farm fresh vegetables, beef and chicken and lamb grass fed and local, and a wine list to behold.

You need to book at this establishment for accommodation OR meals as it is on a private road and one has to have an appointment to get through the gate. The approach is on a sealed road that climbs quite high into the hills above Cape Kidnappers. There is a world famous golf course on site but our visit was... More
