We enjoyed lunch towards the end of the June FAWC promotion as a chance to appreciate the lodge as locals. From the moment our car was whisked away for parking we were entranced and delighted. Best meal in New Zealand. Farm fresh vegetables, beef and chicken and lamb grass fed and local, and a wine list to behold.

You need to book at this establishment for accommodation OR meals as it is on a private road and one has to have an appointment to get through the gate. The approach is on a sealed road that climbs quite high into the hills above Cape Kidnappers. There is a world famous golf course on site but our visit was... More
