Clearview is by far my favourite winery in Hawke's Bay but I was a tad disappointed on Sunday last. Having a visitor for the long weekend we called into Clearview for a glass of wine and ordered dips for a snack. It was around 3pm and service was a little slow but wine is always nice. When the... read more

We were a group of 8. We tasted & ate at the restaurant. All of their wines were available for drinking. The guy who served us our tastings made it very easy. Surprised that their best wines were available. Very good food with great wine & lots of laughs.

Great food, excellent wine tasting options and relaxed surroundings under the vineyard canopies. A relaxed lunchtime was spent enjoying the top class food and wine with the steak lover in the group commenting theirs was the best ever - no mean feat considering the person in question is over 80! The fish was fresh and delicious with an excellent choice... More

thanks for your generous feedback - it was the Sunday of the first Mondayised Anzac weekend and we did run out of our housebaked breads. Hard to enjoy olive oil without bread ! & it should not have gone out. So our apologies, and do contact Ketan or Kristy who will give you the correct platter next time (on us). More

Although I am writing this two months later, I remember my meal very well. My husband and I shared an appetizer a main and a dessert plus two glasses of wine from the vineyard. The pork belly, grouper and lemon tart were memorable.

Stopped here for lunch after our Gannet trip, and really enjoyed it. The wine tasting beforehand was extensive and interesting. The food and service were both good, and the surroundings relaxing and pleasant. Certainly worth the stop.

A day out and we decided to have lunch here. Lets get the only issue out of the way, parking, lack of spaces and very hard to move about, need to reverse. The staff and food was great, we only wanted small meals as we were going out for dinner. The waitress was very helpful, and the food was so... More

We ate great food without having to be dress nicely. Raining but still was able to sit in a covered dining area.

I have said before that the Kiwi's do an amazing job with nice wine tastings interspersed with very nice food. Clearview has a slight advantage for families with younger children as it is slightly "jungly" in layout with some fun wood designs etc. A very interesting wine tasting, we are not experts but loved the house Sauvignon Gris and bought... A group of seven of us visited Clearview on Easter Monday. We chose Clearview because of the relaxed atmosphere and special ambience that this establishment has. As it has been some time since our last visit we were all eager to see what was on the menu. The entree and mains choice was varied but we all felt the prices... More

Like other reviewers, we stopped for a family lunch on the way back from the Cape Kidnappers Tour, although had booked the previous day. Despite being very busy on a Saturday, all of the staff were charming including the English gentleman offering tastings. We chose an excellent Reserve Sauvignon Blanc to accompany our food which was enjoyed outside in the... More
