My favorite place to eat when we are in Uruguay. The ambiance, the casual beach setting, the consistent high-quality of food and the service all work to make this one of the BEST restaurants in the area.

you can eat seafood as well as very good Uruguayan meat there. with local and international beers (even found a German one!) and very good wines. all this with your feet almost on the beach.

Good food and atmosphere, must reserve a table if you don't want to wait. Nice place for lunch, and afternoon drinks at the beach. A bit expensive, but that is Jose Ignacio.

We went twice: for dinner at 9:30pm and then at 4pm. It is nicer during the day, because of the people, liveliness of the place and the view. At night you don't appreciate this as much. Food is OK, nothing special

There are some beatiful people in uruguay and I think you can find them dining at la huella. We tried a nice bottle of local wine to start . i did steak which was great but the local fish was delicious . salads were good but they ran out of tomato soup .most of all i liked the vibe feeling... It was busy when we were here, so we sat at the bar. Even though they were busy the bartenders, and the sushi makers were chatty and friendly and happy to discuss local topics. We sat and enjoyed an afternoon there, and booked dinner reservation. It was a fabulous meal/ with wine... all good. Competitive price, but good value.

Right on the beach. We had an amazing dinner. The prices were good. Food was amazing. A must go see and experience. The steaks are to die for.

I've been going here for years and can't love the setting, the ambience, the vibe, etc any more than I do. But twice now, friends and I would have overpaid significantly had we not reviewed the bill. In one case we were charged FR many more drinks than we actually consumed, and most recently a tip beyond what we'd agreed... More

Although it can get extremely busy (and there can be missteps along the way) this is the kind of place that has truly excellent staff, an owner who cares about more than just his bottom line (although I'm sure that does pretty well all the same). Have had several lunches and dinners there in the last few weeks, as well... More

We have never given a restaurant marks 10 out of 10, however this restaurant gets it. During a wonderful meal, we purchase three CDs from the DJ plus the cookbook from the chef. The food was just sublime along with the atmosphere and friendly staff. Fantastic.
