I would be here more often if I lived closer, quality of food is one factor but the welcome, bon viveur, atmosphere is top. The landlord is from Brum and is easy going but the detail is 4 star. There are lots of rooms, I prefer the Top bar which is like a large snug with TV for sports fans,... More

We eat regularly at The Plough and the food is generally good. However, our last 2 visits for Sunday lunch has not been so good. The Yorkshire Puds have been hard and the vegetables could be better. We think the problem is that it is very popular on a Sunday but feel that quantity has been compromised for quality. Won't... More

I have been to this pub many times over the past year or so. The food has been constantly very good, would recommend the mix grill. The owner and staff are very welcoming and pleasant, couldn't fault it.

My review will rave about The Plough's "Pie Night", but that's all I've ever enjoyed there, so unfortunately I cannot comment on any other evening. Every Wednesday holds, what I believe to be, the pub's busiest evening - Pie Night. Three or four choices of homemade pie, served with chips/mash and garden/mushy peas. All reasonably priced and very, very enjoyable... More

We stopped for a drink on a Sunday and te Sunday lunches being served looked great. Friendly welcome from the landlord and plenty of seating out the back and in front by the canal basin where the ducks entertained us.

Having dinned here half a dozen times we have never had a bad meal. Homemade chips! Good quality local produce well cooked and presented in a cosy traditional pub/inn style establishment with open log burning fire.

Friendly place to eat, food fine but pretty standard. Would recommend it after a gentle stroll down the Canal path makes a nice afternoon.
