We stayed on a 2 night Groupon deal in January 2015. In short I think this is the best place we have ever stayed! We had a 2 day break from the children but took our faithful lab who was welcomed as well as we were! A dog pack with local walks, bags and a treat was given on arrival.... More

They clearly have a very good chef - menu is varied, food well-cooked, excellent service. We've also been here for the Sunday carvery, which is excellent value for money. Dog friendly in the bar, though not in the restaurant (menu is the same in both, I think). Nice walks along the river behind the hotel, and a stunning tree house!

No dislikes (although a swimming pool would be good!). Likes: food, accommodation, staff, everything!

Our first visit for many years, we had the 3 course sunday lunch. The pub was very busy and quite noisey, but the food was good, well presented, tasty and hot. Only down side was the music being played was quite loud, a little off putting, but the main raeson of the visit was a pint with lunch, and this... More

We stayed for 2nights for our daughters wedding and ate both evenings, and although they were very busy on both days they were always friendly and hard working, the food was delicious, the chicken on the first night was moist and tasty and all the wedding menu the Next day was superb
