Pleasant enough pub, thatched roof, quaint but the garden needs a good tidy up, clutter and junk everywhere.

The venue has a friendly environment, the staff is always trying to help even for us when we asked for the bus schedule, they looked for the information. It has a long variety of food and drinks!! I you are a burger lover don't hesitate and ask for "The boom"!!!

we called in to this lovely cosy inn on a Saturday evening ( staying at nearby hotel, but we prefer to go out to eat in the evening ) we were welcomed and found the service to be very friendly. As for the food- well we completely cleared our plates- flatbreads and mushrooms to start, canneloni and burritos to follow,... More

After checking trip advisor this place seemed great, and within half an hour travel time! The meal was ok but not great, they brought out the dessert menus but didn't bother to come back and take the order! It wasn't busy so we couldn't understand the lack of customer service, and yes we would have had a pud and another... More

Went out for dinner with 4 friends to this lovely pub rather than dine in the hotel that were staying in locally. We all had a great evening, the food and the atmosphere, and especially the service was fantastic. Thank you to the 4 lovely locals who we had great banter with and special thanks to Beth who was our... More

Firstly we came into the pub and ordered a drink and asked for a table for two. There are only 4 x 4 seater tables and one 2 x seater table. This initially looked lovely and cosy, however, my husbands chair backed into the chair behind him and the waitress couldnt get through without him getting up so was constantly... More

Very informal dinner on a Monday evening, we sat in the bar area and ordered at the bar. Staff were really friendly and the food was lovely.

We visited the pub after a not so impressive stay at Horwood House. We were the only people in the pub - but the owner and their family stayed open late just for the two of us to have some awesome drinks and talk with the barkeep. Unfortunately didn't have time for food, but if we're in the area again... More

We have dined twice after the restaurant had a new chef in August and on both occasions the food was splendid - much more than a country pub restaurant. Beautifully presented, generous fresh portions, perfectly cooked. Its still early days but the service is more enthusiastic than effective - will bed in fine I have no doubt as the new... More
