I am Belgian but left 18 years ago. It has long been a dream to eat at a 3* Michelin and a Belgian one preferably. This year my husband and I decided to just book and go and invite my mum along. We had booked for lunch and chose the 5 course menu for 195€. We didn't drink wine so... More

We had dinner in late June on a Wednesday evening. We had researched this restaurant and made the drive from Gent just to eat here. The staff in the front of the house treated us very well, starting with the loaner eye glasses for somebody who left his back at the hotel. Serge, Christophe, Mathieu and Mattias and even the... Have visited lots of high ranked and Michelin starred restaurants expectations were high. We had the largest menu (7 courses) with the wines. When you get the bill and the first thing you think : was it worth that kind of money (over 400 Euros a person) and you think no, something is wrong. I think I was most of... More

We ate there two times, and this time was a week after we had eten in el celler de can roca, which is more special, more inventive, but hof van cleve is simply better! the tastes you get are the finest you can imagine, and the bill to pay sadly also the highest. Can't wait to go back. So proud... More

We recently dined at Hof van Cleve in mid May. The setting is wonderful and everything from the greeting at the door, the table, the attention to detail of the serving staff and sommelier was top notch. Not only was the cuisine very innovative but the freshest of ingredients came together in wonderful harmony on the plates. We especially loved... More

For my birthday me and my family ate dinner at hof van cleve. We took the 7 course menu (i am not a big eater and the 7 coures were just enough) which actully is more like 18 dishes. The service was very friendly and helpfull, they could anwsers any question you had. And in the end peter gossens himself... More

The restaurant is out of the way for anyone who does not drive, but it is well worth a visit. The food is sophisticated but down to earth and the service is good. If you are in Flanders anyway, I would suggest taking a tour.

For the second time I have had the pleasure to taste the art of cooking and this at world class level. Went there with high expectation and they where fully met, no, sorry chef, you exceed by far my expectations. Better is not available in Belgium. 3 Michelin stars are fully in line with the culinary experience.

Our visit to this restaurant, one of the best in the world, has been a wonderful discovery of new exquisite taste combinations. Between the courses, we were served different little dishes, the one even more surprising and delightful than the others.

Chef Peter Goossens is often referred to as one of the Godfathers of modern Belgian cuisine and is a master of contemporary culinary artistry. At his restaurant Hof van Cleve, situated on a farm in Kruishoutem at the edge of the Flemish Ardennes, he has been dubbed “a composer of flavours” thanks to his purist and highly creative compositions.
