Great lunch, good food and classy decor

We went for lunch on a Wednesday 5 girls for a birthday. We ordered starters and shared everything. It was all really well presented and plenty of food to share. We tried the pate, Panko crumbed prawns, calamari, risotto and a couple of others. It was all really good. The service is good... read more

The Subi hotel , as we locals call this wonderful Iconic Place. Not only a terrific place to meet up with Buddys for a Drink, also a superb Eatery. The food is always consistently great with simple, fresh local produce, very 'foodie' indeed. The menu covers all grounds for even the most fussy of eaters, and yummy and innovative vegetarian... Freindly service without being over bearing. Food was beautifully presented and just the rift amount. My partner had the steak and said it was perfectly cooked. I had the duck. It was fantastic. Desert was just enough and not too rich. Highly recommended. Defiantly go again.

Right in the middle of Subiaco, very popular and trendy. Place is well set up and has a good atmosphere. Staff were very efficient and friendly. Was expecting the place to be packed after the footy, but was actually quite easy to get a table and have a few drinks. (Probably a bit quieter as it was easter).

Four of us went for a long lunch this week and were well looked after. When the girls finally looked at the menu we all ordered lots of starters to share between us. The food was fresh, the Caesar salad was crisp with lovely candied bacon and the crispy squid was delicious. Our server was very good, looking after us... More

Went for lunch on a Monday and was surprised at the number of diners but once we had lunch we could understand why. The renovation is stylish and the dining room really looks more like a restaurant than the pub that it is. The service was attentive although we were surprised when the Caesar Salad and mushroom mins took a... More

The Subi ticked all the right boxes for us. Good coffee, good juices, good food, good service and good setting, but what we really loved about our Sunday morning breakfast was the pristine white tablecloths and napkins. We lingered on a little, had more coffees and read the paper. Happy.

There are positives about the refurbished Subiaco pub. Staff are cordial, polite and accommodating. Interior design is modern and attractive. On the flipside high prices are the main reason the pub is not meeting it's targets. Understand the need to recover the investment but it can't be done overnight. The reason our party of 12 won't return is because you... More

After a multi million dollar makeover I was looking forward to a evening meal at the Subiaco Hotel. This had been a favourite of mine for breakfast and lunches over the years and had been consistently good . On this occasion I was very disappointed. We were seated on the verandah and it was a lovely balmy evening. The main... More

Having never been to Subiaco before we didn't book a table anywhere as we wanted to see what it was all about. We went on a Friday night and it was really busy. We walked past the hotel and went in on the off chance. They found us a table towards the back by the bar which was pretty noisy... More
