We ordered ceviche which had no taste whatsoever and could and did not know if I was eating tuna or salad it was disgusting. Also ordered Fish and chips which arrived with a mass of cold chips and sprinkled with uneatable fish. I have never had worse food. This hotel used to have very good food, well we wont be... More

First time back at the Subbi since refurbishment finished. Ordered the Pork Belly with black rice. Very disappointed., zero flavour , rice was completely lacking in any taste and very difficult to see how it worked with a flavourless broth. Room has very poor acoustics , very loud .Service very average

First visit since the renovations. Service was good and food is even better since kitchen makeover. If I have one criticism it is that the noise levels are extraordinarily high making it hard for large groups to communicate... hard surfaces and gym music don't help. Otherwise, well done the Monaghans...

We went there to meet up with friends, but could not really talk the music was much too loud. Not recommended. We had to leave after one beer.

We four have been regular customers of the restaurant at Subiaco Hotel and have appreciated the fine food and clever menu at this establishment. Last Sunday, in anticipation of great improvements after the recent extensive renovations, we booked for lunch. What an extraordinary disappointment this turned out to be !!!!!. We ordered three 'bangers and mash",which in the past has... More

I like noisy bars, especially ones with a great range of beers on tap! But my noise attraction doesn't apply to restaurants! Unfortunately, the recent renovations at the Subi Hotel have created a very acoustically challenging space within the restaurant area and one not helped by the pumping music from the night club above (even at 7pm at night -... While the coffee was fantastic and the breakfast price reasonable (for Perth standards) the wait staff were jaw-droppingly rude, the atmosphere stark and aesthetically displeasing while the noise was completely unbearable (and that was 10am on a Sunday morning). The volume of noise actually bordered on being distressing for the elderly members of our party and we had to leave... More

Good spot for catching up with mates or for a business meal. They put on a quality breakfast as well as consistently good lunches and dinners. Convenient to meet in the bar beforehand or to kick on after too.

We were quite excited to book a table for dinner to check out the newly renovated Subi Hotel. We walked in through the bar area off Hay Street and the noise level was deafening. Unfortunately, the table we had in the restaurant was just 2 tables away from where the bar area ended. It was so noisy we could not... More

The new Subi was fairly disappointing for us. The new decor is starker and noisier than before, not as welcoming. Service at the Subi used to be top notch but was certainly not so the night we went. Two steaks ordered medium rare and two steaks delivered close to medium and slightly dry. The old Subi was like an old... More
