Had a business lunch here yesterday and I was so impressed with the food and service. This area (Subiaco) is renowned for expensive, mid quality food and worse service, but Bistro Des Artistes is exceptional. The menu is different, a french twist on seasonal aussie produce, the service staff are good natured and prompt. I had the mussels in squid... More

I went on a sunny Saturday afternoon with a group of friends. There was over 20 of us so we had a room out the back. As there was so many of us we opted for the set menu for $50. There were three or four choices for each course and every meal that came out was delicious. It was... More

Here is an understated gem of a restaurant. What a pleasant pre theatre meal we had here. A quick bite turned in to a relaxing dining experience with excellent service, delicious food and good wine. So good we almost forgot the theatre.

My friend and I dined at Bistro des Artistes this evening (early July) on impulse on our way to the Regal Theatre. Wait staff were fun and extremely attentive and the food was to die for. We have both been to France many times and are so appreciative to find a restaurant which was a little bit of Paris in... More

Our first time at this restaurant but certainly not the last! Food was original and excellent, waitstaff excellent and knew their product and the menu was full of tempting options. Great value for money with two courses at $45 and three for $50. Congratulations!!

It was a late minute Sat dinner, we got a table at Bistro des Artistes. Service was good. The food was average. We had the fish and beef cheek for main. I don't like the fish dish - it doesn't taste fresh/ good. The beef cheek is too buttery, otherwise it is fairly well cooked. We were looking forward to... More

Two of us had dinner here one night in June. For a rather cold and miserable mid-week winter's evening the restaurant looked to be surprisingly busy and that was certainly a good pointer to the quality and service we received. We chose the three course dinner set-menu which offers a range of options for each course, interspersed with interesting amuse-bouche... More

Firstly the food is beautiful. Presentation, taste, sizing all is delicious and well thought out. Great flavours. It's such a pity the service is so unbelievably bad. Waiting 20mins to order wine, then another 20 to get it, additionally when asked about the wines the staff had no idea! Continually had to grab waiters, there was no attention paid by... More

This is real French food, but with enough quirky elements to stay interesting. Poached egg served between two potato mashes with truffle in a jar - definitely not something you would bother with at home. The degustation menu ( optional) delivers extra small courses of amuse bouche and cheese. Not a cheap night, but convivial and very pleasant. Good place... More

Set menu is what I have every time I have had lunch here. Pre book to not be disappointed. Always changing the menu which makes it more interesting. I love the food and chatting in French to the staff. The ambiance is charming and reasonably priced for Perth.
