My friend and I dined at Bistro des Artistes this evening (early July) on impulse on our way to the Regal Theatre. Wait staff were fun and extremely attentive and the food was to die for. We have both been to France many times and are so appreciative to find a restaurant which was a little bit of Paris in... More

Our first time at this restaurant but certainly not the last! Food was original and excellent, waitstaff excellent and knew their product and the menu was full of tempting options. Great value for money with two courses at $45 and three for $50. Congratulations!!

It was a late minute Sat dinner, we got a table at Bistro des Artistes. Service was good. The food was average. We had the fish and beef cheek for main. I don't like the fish dish - it doesn't taste fresh/ good. The beef cheek is too buttery, otherwise it is fairly well cooked. We were looking forward to... More

Two of us had dinner here one night in June. For a rather cold and miserable mid-week winter's evening the restaurant looked to be surprisingly busy and that was certainly a good pointer to the quality and service we received. We chose the three course dinner set-menu which offers a range of options for each course, interspersed with interesting amuse-bouche... More

Firstly the food is beautiful. Presentation, taste, sizing all is delicious and well thought out. Great flavours. It's such a pity the service is so unbelievably bad. Waiting 20mins to order wine, then another 20 to get it, additionally when asked about the wines the staff had no idea! Continually had to grab waiters, there was no attention paid by... More

This is real French food, but with enough quirky elements to stay interesting. Poached egg served between two potato mashes with truffle in a jar - definitely not something you would bother with at home. The degustation menu ( optional) delivers extra small courses of amuse bouche and cheese. Not a cheap night, but convivial and very pleasant. Good place... More

Set menu is what I have every time I have had lunch here. Pre book to not be disappointed. Always changing the menu which makes it more interesting. I love the food and chatting in French to the staff. The ambiance is charming and reasonably priced for Perth.

Did the 2 course for $45 for lunch. Veal shank was delicious. Very flavorsome. Creme brûlée nice finish. Food has always made us return.

I had lunch here 4 times during my visit in March. I cannot comment on the dinner menu but the variety and quality of the set lunches was outstanding - drinks were also top quality. It seems to have the perfect decor for a lunch venue. Staff were friendly and very helpful. The whole experience was like being in the... More

Recommended by some residents of Perth, this was an unexpected delight. The chef/patron is someone whose cooking I have been lucky enough to enjoy before when he owned another restaurant. I wasn't certain how his formal style would adapt to bistro fare. No worries there, it was completely delicious. I have been raving about it ever since to friends who... More
