Me and my husband have visited Woodpeckers last time many years ago, but decided to come again. After reading all these reviews I was a bit scared to come, to be honest, but was surprised how everything worked well: the blonde young waitress invited us in with a smile, even-though her English wasn't perfect she was very pleasant and helpful... Wine was fine except they had none of it there. And tried to serve me a glass of another wine pretending it was from the wine I wanted. The meatballs were burnt, over cooked, and like bricks. Sauce was oily. Pizza was ok. But nothing to write home about. Toilet was dirty and had toilet roll. All this and they... More

We were in a group of 4 and had booked days earlier. On arrival I advised the waitress that we had a booking and under what name; she pointed to a table for 2 which confused us all...basically we booked but there was no booking, first upset. We got told to sit wherever, ok...lucky they had a table for four... More

I booked a table for myself and six friends about two weeks in advance. Called up on the day to confirm and they had no record of it. We got there and they told us they had RUN OUT OF PIZZA. (ITS A PIZZERIA) So only a couple of us had pizza, IT WAS THE WORST PIZZA EVER!! I can... More

The food was good, the Table Service was generally great. The only downsides were that when I walked in the girl at the front counter seemed like she didnt want to be there, & there were no real cheap entree's.

We headed to Woodpeckers as part of an online special, 3 courses for.... As it was a set menu, I wasn't expecting what we received, a huge excellent meal. Our chosen entrees were the salt & pepper squid and the bruschetta. Both arrived quickly and were well prepared. What threw us was the size and preparation of the bruschetta. A... More

Pizza was good, but on the expensive side, service was very poor, and the waitress had to keep asking other staff about our enquiries. desert whilst tasty was very overpriced for what it was, but the worst was the hot chocolate and coffee, firstly the hot chocolates, the milk was off and then burned, whilst the coffee was more like... We went for birthday dinner table of 8. it took 40 mins to get starter drinks. Then 45 mins for entree, after an hour we finally got our mains, some of the meals were not good value for money and poorly cooked, food was very average for price, staff looked like they wanted to be somewhere else. Would not recommend... More

Pizzas were decent, but its not as light and bright as Funtastico around the corner and the pizzas are better at Funtastico as well. Overall, not rushing back.

6 of us shared 5 large pizza's of different flavours with a couple of salads. Tasty and cooked just right. It suited the occassion of a spontaneous "lets try this place" Young German waitress was good - food and drinks came and empty plates dissappeared without interfeering with the conversations. Very pleasent.
