Cafe Cabure has some of the best cuisine that Costa Rica has to offer. The Homemade Lasagne was incredible, especially after 2 weeks of rice and beans. This Cafe/Restaurant needs to be recognised as unfortunately it wasn't busy but is definitely a must go. Also, try and go to the Bat Museum below which has some incredibly passionate employees, who... More

I did not eat lunch here, but I did get a chocolate milkshake and a chocolate mousse with dulce de leche. From the second-floor balcony, I watched howler monkeys across the street jumping through the trees and spoke with the Argentinian owner about dessert making. Very warm and friendly atmosphere, with a European flair--cultured and rich in tradition.

The melted provolone and bread was very good, however serves 2-4 people as an appetizer, so only get one! (Two orders for two people was too much!) my friend and I each had curry wraps which were excellent!! The mocha's were the best with large dollops of rich chocolate clinging onto the spoon! I had the "death by brownie", which... More

Wonderful Place! We had a truly delicious meal, the mole was amazing, all while watching a beautiful sunset from their large patio. The desserts were spectacular, I think we tried them all, our favorite being the chocolate soufflé. Jenny our waiter was very nice and attentive, and the owner chatted with us for some time and shared a lot about... More

Great place! The restaurant is Argentinian in theme and delicious! Bob was a great host for the chocolate tour. I have a new found respect for cholate makers and cholatiers! They two are not one in the same. The food was the best that we had eaten in our four days in Costa Rica. Jenny, our waitress was informative and... More

We went here for lunch. It was quite cold in the open-air restaurant, but maybe we just didn't dress right for Monteverde. Food was above fine, but not great. Prices are a bit high. The homemade chocolates are fine, but too expensive. The hot chocolate was amazing though! One of the best I've ever had, and I've had a lot!... More

My wife and I stopped here for lunch after our trip to the Cloud Forest. What a find! My wife had the chicken wrap, and I had the chipotle wrap and they were wonderful! We also had flan for dessert and it was fantastic! Susana, the owner, came out to check on us and ask if the meal was satisfactory.... More

This was recommended by my hotel for a leisurely lunch and it was perfect for that. The food and atmosphere where good. I wouldn't say it was a highlight of the trip, but if you want something different and a little out of the town, this is a nice little oasis, with good food. There was a nice selection of... More

On the main road to Monteverde Cloud Forest Biological Reserve, big sweep veranda to sit out on and eat, great breezes. The food here is the main attraction- fresh, international fare- we ate here twice, because it was that GOOD! They also make homemade organic chocolate creations, these too were delicious- we even bought some to go. Again, this is... More
