We decided to go here for a little treat after the bat jungle. The manager was very nice and came to sit with us. Three hours later went on his tour were he showed us how he makes the chocolate. Then we got to eat a marshmallow dipped in chocolate. We were also the only people there. In all you... More

We had the best dinner of our trip to Costa Rica here. The chicken mole was spicy enough to make it delicious! The brownie dessert was incredible but what else would you expect from a place that also makes chocolate!

From the moment I walked in I felt completely welcomed and at home. Sitting on the balcony, the afternoon breeze felt delightful as I sat back and enjoyed my Chocolate Coffee in this picturesque setting. The menu of international cuisine looked so good, it was hard to choose just one. A Vegetarian Empanada to start, a Chicken Mole Wrap w/garden... More

We loved Cafe Cabure! We ate there a couple times on our recent trip to Costa Rica. The wraps are so good. I had the chicken and roasted veggie wrap while my husband had the mole one day and a chipolte the next. They were all very fresh and very very good. I highly recommend getting a vanilla milk shake... More

A fun stop for smoothies or a quick bite. The outdoor porch is very comfortable and catches a nice breeze. We shared a curry wrap that was filled with flavor. We tried the Argentine Brownie with Dulce de Leche and Walnuts and found it delightful. We also took some truffles to go and enjoyed them later. The ingredients and flavors... More

We stopped by this restaurant after a day hiking in the Monteverde Cloud Forest and the Bat Jungle (see my other reviews for more information), so we arrived as the sun was about to set--what a spectacular view we enjoyed while sipping on some incredible bebidas naturales (my husband had a strawberry one and I chose the delicious mint/ginger/lemonade specialty).... I'm glad we walked by this during the day because finding it at night would be challenging. We arrived about 7:30 and were the first customers. The special that night was a filet mignon with chimichurri sauce. That sounded good since we had seafood the last two nights. Cafe Cabure has a winelist, which is not that common in Monteverde/St.... Trip Advisor is my travel bible. It has never steered me wrong. When I looked up Monteverde this evening, the top place to for dinner (that was not a coffee bar) was Cafe Cabure. I will say that the map to get to the restaurant could be improved. We had to use our town map from the tourist bureau and... More

There are a number of pretty good restaurants in Monteverde, but this was our favorite. The proprietor, Susanna made it a point to get to know all of her customers, and in true Costa Rican fashion (even thought she isn't a Tico), she was warm and inviting. If you're tired of Gallo Pinto (the standard Costa Rican black beans and... More
