The Kicking Donkey is currently closed, hopefully it will be resurrected in the near future and we can re-visit
Decided to head out for lunch - the Kicking Donkey was recommended to us - so we went for it. Was not disappointed.... What a awesome country pub, it was the weekend and very busy we managed to order drinks and a bite to eat, optioning to sit out side, it was a glorious day out the sun was warm... More
We booked two months in advance and used to eat here regularly but let down on the night luck another local restaurant was able to rescue the night for us. not surprised this is closing down
Being a Saturday night, I booked a table for two for what appeared to be a pleasant pub to visit. Being told on arrival that we were the only reservation, I should have had my doubts. we went to the kicking Donkey 4th August 2013. The only meals were jacket potatoes or baguettes!!! staff un-welcoming!!! no wonder no customers!! wont return!! don't waste your time going!!!!

Checked the menu online before we left and clicked on 'todays menu' where we saw a selection of appealing bar meals. After struggling to navigate the pram around the tables inside I joined the queue of about 5 people at the... More
A group of 24 of us went to the Kicking Donkey for lunch last Saturday. It was my son's 7th birthday so there were a big group of us camping locally. When I booked they sent me a menu, we pre-ordered, they didn't ask us to but thought it'd be far easier for us and them if we did. All... More
