Being a Saturday night, I booked a table for two for what appeared to be a pleasant pub to visit. Being told on arrival that we were the only reservation, I should have had my doubts. The place itself, however, looked very warming, clean and inviting. There several well laid out tables in a smart restaurant area. The menu looked... More

I ate here today with my 2 grandchildren and am very surprised by many of the recent moans by others. I found the service attentive, the hot food piping hot and brought out to us in the garden. The prawn baguette was very well filled with prawns - almost too well filled- served on a wooden platter with a side... More

Sorry to be negative but the menu was really dull and just full of 90's pub classics. Prices did reflect that but it wasn't what we were looking for. However great place to go for a drink with the family. Hope this is constructive.

Been several times before, sadly this time grossly understaffed, ran out of several dishes on the menu, corked wine and very slow service! Also sadly don't do home made chips anymore! Very disappointing family birthday meal - don't think we will go back again!

Wanted a nice beer garden to enjoy in this lovely weather and thought we'd give this place a try. Checked the menu online before we left and clicked on 'todays menu' where we saw a selection of appealing bar meals. After struggling to navigate the pram around the tables inside I joined the queue of about 5 people at the... More

A group of 24 of us went to the Kicking Donkey for lunch last Saturday. It was my son's 7th birthday so there were a big group of us camping locally. When I booked they sent me a menu, we pre-ordered, they didn't ask us to but thought it'd be far easier for us and them if we did. All... More
