Great Malaysian Hawker style food.

Have visited the Sinma Laksa House now about six times in the last four years. Friends and I like it's no frills with good food atmosphere. I find it my favourite for a good Laksa, Singapore chilli mud crab or Rendang beef. The prices are almost a bargain, being about $10 except for the pricier... read more

This place is fantastic but it never seems to do a lot of business. I love coming here for authentic Singaporean and Malaysian food (and all at inexpensive prices). Personally, I would definitely recommend the char kway teow and turnip cake but if you're looking for something a little more 'familiar' then they have options like salt and pepper fried... More

Good authentic Malaysian food. We had Char Kway Teow, Lamb Curry, Satay Chicken and green beans plus rice for 2. We ate plenty and had lots to take home. All dishes were full of flavour and quite reasonably priced. No fancy surroundings - just typical Asian cafe style.

Been a few times recently and is one of our regulars! Had chilli crab twice and it was very satisfying! Although consistency can be varied but very much worth getting with the fried (min tao) buns. We go back often for the char kuay teow and combination Hor fun. Teh Tarik is also worth having. I prefer mine hot while... More

Authentic affordable Malaysian Singapore hawker food is quite a rarity in Sydney. This restaurant is one of a very few in Sydney that we enjoy coming back to. With 3 other Malaysian Singapore restaurants opening nearby recently in Kingsford, Sinma has lifted its act and has improved it's food and service. The food is not as oily as the others... More

Woukd strongly recommend it for the chilli crab lovers. I will definitely go back for it. As for the decor of the restaurant it is average and service is also average. Great place for malaysian dishes.

We have been eating here for years, but the quality and quantity of the food leaves a lot to be desired now. A few days ago my partner ordered 6 beef and chicken satay sticks. The sticks were thicker than the meat! We complained to the waiter, but he was totally indifferent to us. The Sarawak laksa is always good,... More

I was taken here by a Malaysian friend who told me about the Singapore Crab and the Fish Head soup. I have been there twice and the experience has been pretty consistent. The place is bland with driving school flyers inserted in between the plastic cover and the tablecloth. The menu is frayed at the edges and the service is... More

Went there for lunch today. Ordered chicken rice, chat keow tuay and combo keow tuay. The keow tuay was ok. The chicken rice was horrible. The chicken was definitely left over and was heated up in the microwave oven. Part of the chicken pieces was hard and dark brown in colour which showed that it has been reheated. They tried... More

Quick and cheap - rice and three dishes. The three dishes change but a good variety of Malaysian-style vegetable (okra, long beans, bitter gourd) meat (pork, chicken, beef) and fish ( crisply fried fish, fish-heads). Generally the dishes are heaped on - though they tend to be less generous with the beef-rendang. Remember to ask for some laksa or rendang... More
