My wife and I stumbled on brown sugar many years ago, before it became the place to be seen. We were such frequent visitors, they knew her by name when she rang to make a reservation. Fast forward a few years and we hadn't been there for 12 months as the small space became so crammed with little Bondi things.... More

Loved the look of this place and was lured in by the decor and warm atmosphere! On arrival owner/ waiter was lovely and helped us to understand how to get the best out of the menu. He was helpful and attentive with out being patronising, which is refreshing! Food was superb 3 of us ordered variety of meat and fish... More

We have lived in Bondi Beach for a year now having come over from London. We have eaten in pretty much all the restaurants in BB over that period and Brown Sugar is the best. Three times we have eaten there and each time the food has been amazing, the service the best we have had in Australia and the... More

When friends first suggested eating at Brown Sugar on hot January Holiday Saturday, having eaten there in the past I thought crowded and hot!!. Two factors that would certainly colour any eating experience. Surprisingly the air conditioning was efficient and the noise level manageable. No crowds on the pavement waiting to pounce on a vacated table Needless to say Chef... More

The food was quick, the menu had so many tasty options I would have liked to eat there several times, the service was very friendly and inviting. A little on the hipster side but without the weirdos.

After a long day and several wines with friends we popped in without a booking at 8.30 and were made to feel welcome. Our friends (locals) had recommended Brown Sugar and it didn't let them down. Delicious haloumi with a red cabbage salad and squid ink pasta with crab both hit the spot as generous servings with fantastic tastes combined.... More

We walked in on Friday night, no booking so had to wait, not long. The menu is interesting, small but good variety. Service good, but table are small once you get everything on them this is the only complaint I have. The food impressed us, I had the special chicken, which I very rarely order as it can be dry.... Brown Sugar is absolutely one of my favourite brunch places in Bondi / all of Sydney. They have a really eclectic breakfast menu and having tried the majority of offers I can tell you they don't disappoint (in particular I love the salmon). If you have a big group, be prepared to wait as there isn't a huge amount of... More

We stopped to eat here for our first night in Bondi and we were really happy with the food and with the service. Prices are a little high but reasonable considering the good quality of the food. I recommend it!

This place is a lovely little spot to share a nice coffee and some brunch. Staff were very welcoming and personable. The food was delicious - poached eggs with chorizo and bacon satisfied all cravings. A very relaxed atmosphere and a perfect place for a bite to eat.
