I visited Bondi last night, and the Campbell Parade Gelato Bar outlet was closed, with paper plastered over the windows. Can anyone shed light on this? I went to the Bondi Junction outlet on 20 July, and it was still serving cakes. It looks as if the dumping of the classic mid-European menu was a gigantic mistake

Went here for an afternoon cake as the cakes looked amazing. And they tasted divine too was disappointed that they didn't come with ice cream for the price they were charging as they were a but rich and needed something to help it go down. Ordered a caramel milk shake and a chai latte. The caramel milkshake was very small... More

We have been enjoying cakes from the Gelato Bar for over 50 years. The quality is consistently outstanding and the prices very reasonable. We are disppointed that they have recently reduced their trading hours.

wow, ice cream heaven, never seen so much varied choice, after we had decided the icecreams were gorgeous. You really dont need three scoops, one or two at most is huge !

I am gutted that they have wiped out their famous menu items if Chicken Soup with Matso balls and Goulash - all the comfort food this place has made since 1958. Now it's just another coffee shop. I won't be back.

We had dinner there last night and we were very pleasantly surprised. The food was cooked to perfection and so cheap. The atmosphere was very friendly and the waitress very attentive. We stumbled upon this place but we'll definitely be returning.

The cakes are still fantastic. I had a cheese and cherry strudel and my child had a chocolate croissant. The cappuccino was also made to perfection. Well recommended!!

Divine!! Just had the most amazing food experience. I ordered the meatballs and sauce and my partner gnocchi napolitana and I must say these were the best dishes we have tasted in a long time. Price is also very reasonable and service great. We'll definitely be returning for more great food

Visited on Sunday for a fix of goulash and borscht only to be told that they were no longer serving Hungarian food. This restaurant has been an icon for as long as I can remember serving hearty Hungarian meals and decadent deserts. Sadly no more. Goodbye old friend........... Zeeman

I was really disappointed. I have been taking my family to The Gelato Bar for the past 40years. During this time there has been several changes but never so drastic as now. The Hungarian food has gone much to my disappointment. The bean soup has been my staple order but has gone along with the goulash. A Sydney icon for... More
