Small, corner restaurant that serves traditional Israeli food. A lot of hustle and bustle as you order at the counter and find yourself a table, inside or on the footpath. The food is tasty and the meal is filling. Not the place for a romantic first date, but certainly popular with families.

Can be good, can be a badly packed blob. At Sababba Met Centre they always seem to mistake halloumi for feta. It really depends on how busy they are I think. If they don't pack it with love you get lumps of single ingredients in different areas of the pita.

We have been here a few times, always fresh and delicious, good variety of Israeli /Mediterranean style foods to chose from, attentive and friendly staff, cosy and trendy, always lots of vegetarian options. We will keep on coming back.

Go to the Bondi restaurant (more cafe) regularly for lunch which is a 10 min walk from home. Having very Aussie tastes I ask for a pita pocket with chicken shish kebab with garden salad and BBQ sauce. My husband has the Sabbaba which is a pita with falafel and everything. We both love coming here and have always had... More

Walked past Sabbaba at lunch time and was lured in by the smell and free falafel taster. That was probably the highlight. I asked the server what the recommended and tried their choice. Was very dry - would have liked some more sauce as there was potential for a great cheap meal. I understand this is a chain, but by... More

Sabbaba franchises seem to be popping up all around the city and Eastern suburbs, but it was my 'local', the Bondi Beach outlet which has become my Mecca. Small restaurant with ample seating both inside and outside( great for people watching!) , and friendly, efficient staff. Excellent healthy options menu, with loads of Middle Eastern favourites. Their meal deals at... More

Sabbaba has opened an appealing little hole in the wall in Bondi Junction, I suspect on the way to franchising. If it is, forget it. The pita was not from one of the many traditional bakeries around Sydney, but was small, white and mushy - and was an easily recognised supermarket type. The tabouli didn't have a single cube of...
