Was looking for casual dining close to Hornsby and decided to try Thyme Square, even though it had some mixed reviews. It was a Tuesday night so not that busy and the staff were not run off their feet, and they were friendly, genuinely cheerful, and attentive. Top marks to them! We were able to order good and interesting wines... More

The staff was friendly. The burger was good - but $18.50 + GST??? The waitress said that the burger meal would be HUGE but it wasn't. As for the fish and chips - the batter on the fish was uncooked on the inside and the fish tasteless (still makes me feel sick thinking about it). $18.50+GST for two small pieces... More

Visited 2 weeks ago with family ( teenage kids), hoping to have a nice family dinner as we had eaten there a year back. What a disappointment the food was. The kids ordered the beef burgandy pie, It was a disgrace, there was just about no beef in it - maximum 2 pieces. The bowl was filled with gravy in... More

When we first visited this restaurant several years ago the owners/chef were ex fine dining restaurants and it showed. The food and service were top class, the ambiance delightful and the experience memorable. At last, Hornsby had a classy restaurant that still represented good value. Our latest visit just yesterday, however, showed this restaurant to be a pale imitation of... More

Having been to this cafe many times enough is enough .I had to order my lunch by shouting from my seat to waitress behind the counter ,that is when she had stopped dancing,so much for the table service. It was embarrasing to be treated in this manner and when the food was presented it too was nothing short of disappointing. This started... I have been a regular at this place since it opened. The service has got much much poorer. Today was the "straw that broke the camels back"! We arrived with some friends from overseas and sat down outside. After waiting for 10 minutes one of our party went inside to see if we could get some menus and service. The... More

I'm a local and I like to come for my weekend morning cappuccino. I also like to come on special occasions for dinner. My favourite is the New Zealand Lamb Rump!!! It's a very relaxed and romantic setting! (Make sure you book a booth if you plan on taking a date there) Highly recommended :)

As an alternative to the below average food in Café Blu, this place is more balanced but can be a bit hit and miss on the quality of food.

Used to go there often. The service was brilliant and the food even nicer. Since the one owner left it has gone downhill and is just very ordinary. have not been back in 18 months

Dined here with friends opn a Friday night. Mains arrived promptly but were of a varying standard- to much liquid in the Mushroom & Beef pie,too much potatoe gracing the other dishes. Shared desserts were the typical suspects-pannacotta,creme brlee etc. Decor needs attention-chandeliers hanging above had varying number of lights working-one had only one out of a possiuble 10/12 globes....
