A wonderful breakfast experience

My son from neighbouring Coburg North bought us here for a Saturday breakfast. he got us up nice and early to get a seat and beat the crowds. A good tip because whilst there wasnt a lot of people there when we arrived it filled up quickly. The place reminds of a cafe in Vietnam or maybe Thailand... read more

Fabulous Asian inspired breakfast! Try the black sticky rice with mango and juggery yoghurt....comfort food with style, taste and relaxed ease! Fantastic.

I've been back twice already; the best pad thai, very very decent servings - the small pad thai is huge, cocktail happy hour everyday 5-7pm which are so yummy - the butterfly one is amaze - cool and cozy decor, friendly and welcoming staff, i've tried the meatballs too which were deliciously spicy and one of the chicken curries which... I had heard that this was a great place for food. On my first visit I was a bit underwhelmed. The menu suggested sensational food. I decided a second visit was in order a few nights later feeling that I had made wrong choices the previous visit. Between the 2 visits we tasted a range off the menu and I... More

We went to this place because it was so highly recommended. It's typically pretty crowded. Unfortunately the food isn't authentic Thai food. So as long as you go into it know that, then it will probably be okay. The whitebait was the best dish we had, which wasn't a Thai dish. It's Thai-influenced, but just off and sometimes more confusion... More

Thanks for your review! I'm happy you mentioned it because yes we are definitely not authentically Thai! :) We like to believe our authenticity is in the south-east Asian flavours we Love and use on the menu rather than specifically from one region or other. Often we are also described as Asian-Fusion which perhaps is a little more accurate since... More

Thai fusion delight in Brunswick Melbourne - possibly one of the best Thai fusion experiences you will have - the double cooked duck was a pure delight - quirky intimate setting away from the maddening crowd.

Decent asian fusion food in great decor - food was OK, overcharged for happy hour drinks but we were a large party and they were great with splitting our bill etc. Glad we booked as it was a very busy Wednesday night

Tom Phat's always a pleasure to go to. The food is great, and the price is fairly reasonable when set against other Sydney Rd restaurants. The atmosphere is pretty relaxed and it's a nice place to head whether with friends, family or on a couple's jaunt. If you're here, consider ordering the twice cooked duck or the pad Thai.

First impression, very funky alternative atmosphere. Not the traditional thai or vietnamnese joint that i frequent. Had dinner with a group of girl friends during week night. Upon arrival we were ushered to the other side of the restaurant closer to the bar. Ordered our drinks. Loved the lychee with lime soda drinks. Very refreshing for a balmy night. Unfortunately... I found a long hair in my food once (and it definitely wasn't mine lol) so never been back again. Was a few years ago but still, would you go back?
