My friend and I are real foodies and love to visit good restaurants. we were staying in Geneva and had made a reservation for lunch. We were not disappointed. Ranked as 1 of the top restaurants in the world it lived up to our expectations. There were 2 tasting menus 275 CHF and 370 CHF. We chose the 275 as... More

This is not a restaurant, it's a temple of taste. No words can express this unique and exquisite experience. Food in this restaurant is divine, but food is not all. The way it is presented, the way you are served, the beauty of each dish make your evening unforgettable. Benoît Violier is a wonderful young chef who is extremely friendly... More

I have been lucky to have experienced all the iterations of the restaurant.....Girardet, Rochat, and now Violier. All have been magnificent and it is silly to say which has been the best. Clearly Violier is superlative. Beginning to end every meal here is magical. I find myself thinking after the first dish that things can't get better, followed by the... More

Incredible restaurant...Three different cooks (Girardet, Rochat, Violier), all of them immediately rated *** in the Michelin guide. An the food, simply divine, inventive, with tastes I never thought it would be possible to feel in my palate. I went there as a kid for the first time, and I am now planning to bring my son to what is simply... More

No words can express how much we enjoyed this dinner, brilliant, wonderful, it's above all. We were also kindly offered the opportunity to visit the kitchen, if you can do so, please don't hesitate. I prefer not to go to restaurants for a few months to save enough money to go there.

We have lunched here 3 times in the last year and on each occasion we have had an absolutely fantastic meal. Benoit Violier is not just a great chef but also a very pleasant guy who spends time talking to all guests at their tables. In my opinion this is a much better restaurant than the Rochat era and the... More

Unfortunately I had not visited le Restaurant de l'Hôtel de Ville since the Freddy Girardet era... But the rumor is that Violier surpasses Rochat who surpassed the founder Girardet. Can world top gastronomy accommodate such rankings and judgments? I personally do not think so. 3 stars chefs are just the gods of culinary art, each with his or her touch,... More

In most restaurants they serve food. Here it is art on plates. Each dish is a sensory composition which surprises you and stimulates you to listen to your brain examine what you are tasting. Also quite exceptional is the rythm of the service, just right, neither fast nor slow. And the cherry was visiting the kitchen and toasting with the... More

From the moment you arrive there are staff to look after you. We like the fact that the tables are not all on top of one another so we could have a good catch. The menu is fascinating We chose to have the The Menu which consisted of ten delicious courses all served on different shaped plates and explained in... More

The menu is obviously haute cuisine, as expected in a three Michelin star restaurant. We allowed the experienced and extremely helpful maitr d' to recommend the dishes and he did so having asked the general desires, dislikes, allergies we may have etc. The end result was a spectacular 6 courses where we savoured the Benoit Violier touch. The decor was... More
