A wonderful tasting menu, attentive and efficient service, out-of-this-world dishes will make your 4-hour dinner fly by.
We have eaten in this restaurant in the 1990s when Fredy Girardet was its chef and it was rated among the best in the world. After eating at regular intervals, we decided to try the surprise menu concocted by Benoit Violier, the current chef. The seven-course meal provided original ways of serving crab, lobster, sea bass and beef. After the... More
Wow! Reputation of being one of the top restaurants in Switzerland, having evolved from days when it was run by legendary Frédy Girardet. Following on from superb Philippe Rochat, Benoît Violier certainly impressed us as well. Impeccable service from moment of arrival. The cuisine was exquisite, with subtle flavours derived from freshest of ingredients. Each course was as good as... More
What an amazing experience. Benoit Voilier must be the best Chef in Switzerland right now as we were treated to one of the most sublime gastronomic experiences. EVER! It all started with a wonderful cocktail in the kitchen. Yes, the kitchen. Designed to be part of the restaurant without being in it, it serves as the welcoming place where guest... More
As indicated by the other reviewers and restaurant guides, this is a fabulous restaurant. The food was as beautifully presented as it was delicious. One example was the first course on the menu of the day we visited: a composed mix of incredibly finely-cut raw and cooked vegetables surrounding a circle of caviar-topped mousse. Each bite had a slightly different... More
This was our third michelin starred place within two weeks and without doubt the nicest experience. I am afraid that going to these fine restaurants within such a short period of time is not a really good idea but birthday celebrations were in order. We got slightly more accustomed to the quality of dishes and it was more difficult to... More
This restaurant is superb. We were a party of four and we all had the tasting menu. It was exceptional food accompanied by faultless service. We ended with a most interesting tour of the kitchen. Yes it is expensive even compared with 3 star establishments in London and Paris but it is worth the cost.
My friend and I are real foodies and love to visit good restaurants. we were staying in Geneva and had made a reservation for lunch. We were not disappointed. Ranked as 1 of the top restaurants in the world it lived up to our expectations. There were 2 tasting menus 275 CHF and 370 CHF. We chose the 275 as... More
This is not a restaurant, it's a temple of taste. No words can express this unique and exquisite experience. Food in this restaurant is divine, but food is not all. The way it is presented, the way you are served, the beauty of each dish make your evening unforgettable. Benoît Violier is a wonderful young chef who is extremely friendly... More
I have been lucky to have experienced all the iterations of the restaurant.....Girardet, Rochat, and now Violier. All have been magnificent and it is silly to say which has been the best. Clearly Violier is superlative. Beginning to end every meal here is magical. I find myself thinking after the first dish that things can't get better, followed by the... More
