Twelve hungry cyclists descended on Stamps out of the blue and they responded wonderfully, producing a variety of food at short notice and at high speed. A great place with charming staff.

Have visited several times, name comes from previous life as the Post Office. tables inside and at outside seating area at back. Prompt service for coffee and cake, friendly efficient staff. Walking boots no problem. In past, when bike rack 10 yrs away full they offered to let us put bikes in side passage for security. A firm fixture when... More

We used to avoid Great Ayton on a Sunday, as the only cafe open was dire, then we discovered Stamps. It's excellent. Friendly staff, nice food and service and the prices are fair. We will be back. It opens a little late on Sundays, so don't get there before 11:00.

A superb coffee shop with great tasting coffee, cake and superb service. Easy to park at the front and there is an outdoor seating area if the weather is good.

Ordered rarebit, it was inedible, spongy white bread saturated in sickly white sauce, my mother had another version of this and unfortunately it was also too sickly to eat. The lattes were very weak but ok for those who want very milky coffee. I mentioned the poor food to the staff after my mother had left, and whilst they were... More

Climbed to the top if roseberry topping with a 5 & 7 yr old. Absolutely shattered and covered in mud I promised them a lovely cake as a reward but didn't have a clue where to go. Ended up in stamps coffee shop, and so pleased we did. We all loved it and got just what we fancied. I had... More

My friend and I visited Great Ayton yesterday, it really is a lovely village. We then decided to pop into Stamps for a just a coffee before moving on to Stokesley. That was before the lady on the next table was served with bacon sandwiches made with ciabatta rolls. They looked lovely so we ordered them and were not disappointed.... More

Staff extremely friendly, polite and well mannered. Warm inside and comfortable. Clean and tidy.Just arrived from Roseberry Topping and this was just perfect for a tasty bite. Just make sure you are in the door before the ovens go off which is about 4pm as you will not be lucky enough to receive their amazing apple crumble. I had omlette... More

Popped in to this little gem twice during recent holiday in Yorkshire. Great food and reasonable prices. Handy for a mid-afternoon brew after a trip to the Captain Cook Schoolroom Museum which is just a few doors down. And free wifi! Which is great for anyone on O2 who's not had reception all week! :)

Great coffee, wide range of drinks, absolutely delicious cakes and good service at Stamps cafe. I recently had the orange cake, which was as light as a feather and dreamy, mmm! The staff are friendly and welcoming and they always thank people for their custom. Haven't tried the snacks/lunches yet but they look very good indeed.
