Killer Club Sandwich

My favourite place for a nice quiet tea and a browse of the papers on a morning. BUT ,if I fancy a light lunch the Club Sandwich is perfect! Absolutely tasty, filling and well presented. The staff are first class, always have time for a chat and always happy.Well worth a visit.

After a long cold windy walk up Roseberry Topping we wanted a hot drink. The cafe was open despite being after 4pm. Was fairly full too even for late afternoon. Was a little taken aback at the greeting as before we even sat down we were 'told' there was no hot food after 4pm. Just as well we only wanted... More

Today I took very ill mother out for the day. She is riddled with cancer and as a result can not eat a great deal. She weighs 5 stone. The menu had a children's portion of sausage and chips she fancied. Unfortunately we were refused a children's portion for her and they didn't do an adult size. She then chose... More

We have visited this little café on several occasions, and always found it very pleasant. On our last visit we found that the quality and standards had fallen quite dramatically. My wife and I visited yesterday 24/03/15, and ordered a light lunch of Coronation Chicken jacket potatoes, Ohhh what a disappointment, we waited in what seemed ages (35 mins) for... More

We originally went to Stamps two days after its opening a couple of years ago. It has changed so much, expanded and the home-made cakes were just lovely. We received a warm welcome, tasty coffee and will be back.

There have been many attempts at providing a good all round coffee shop in Great Ayton and finally this one fits the bill. Good friendly service and tasty coffee and food. The only challenge you'll have is finding a seat at busy times. Well done Stamps!!!

My most recent visit to Stamps Coffee Shop in Great Ayton was a treat. I have had the coffee, homemade scones & cakes before & they are divine. I decided to have a sandwich as I was pretty hungry. I had a wholemeal bread chicken & salad sandwich which came with a little potion of coleslaw & handcooked crisps. It... More

Stopped here for a Saturday lunch, very busy but managed to secure the window table. Great cake selection but we opted for a pie lunch from the specials board. Pie was fabulous but would have been better with chips from the chippy round the corner rather than oven style chips. Reasonable value and good service.

'Stamps' was formerly the village post office, hence its name. After a brisk walk on snow covered hills we stopped here for warming bowls of soup and a bread roll. The place was packed with no spare tables, we bagged the last one! Service was polite and friendly but a little slow - a bowl of soup does not really... More

My wife and I visited Stamps just before Christmas . The reception we got was exceptional and we were offered a choice of tables with an explanation of their pros and cons. My latte coffee was delicious and my wife's tea and glass of red wine equally so. For mains I had a cheese n onion omelette, salad, and chips and... More
