Go for the view and the great value cocktails

The view is second to none, on a clear day you can see the mainland of Italy! The history of the cafe is also a marvel, make sure to look at the old black and white photos on the wall to the left when you come in. The postcards they sell here are also just as atmospheric. The menu is... read more

We visited Castelmola on a whim having read about the views on Citalia.com. This cafe was the first in view when reaching the piazza. As we only wanted a snack we decided to sit here and admire the views. We weren't disappointed. The menu was cheap and the food good. Probably the best brushetta I have had yet and only... More

Lovely views from the top of Castelmole and the food was excellent. Two pizzas we had and they could not be faulted. Service was very slow; 2 tables who sat down 5 and 10minutes after us got ordering before us etc. Took 80minutes from first sitting down to finishing our 2 pizzas. If you do not mind the wait; the... My husband and I were in this charming Castelmola village on our honeymoon. Everything about this village is like in a fairy tale, just like this lovely little bar. It is situated on the main Castelmola square, so you can sit there, enjoy panoramic view to Taormina, Etna and the sea and drink their Vino alla Mandorla and eat those... More

Great place for a drink and snack - all overlooking Taormina and the Ionian sea. A popular spot in the main square where the bus stops. Good selection of drinks and basic food. Our aperiitifs came with small snacks.

Wish we had stayed for more than an espresso but were lookig forward to the hike back to Taormina from Castelmola. The view from the cafe is spectacular so do stop for coffee and biscotti. We bought our one bottle of Vino all Mandoria here and now wish we had gotten more.

We found this eatery a very memorable experience - not necessarily for its relatively simple food, although their oven baked pizzas won't disappoint, but more so the stunning panoramic back drop. Being tucked away in a quiet corner of a small, yet charming, piazza with spectacular views of the surrounding hills , nearby Taormina and azure seas, it is difficult not... More

We had a drink here before or after dinner almost every night. They also do great arancini for lunch, as well as other light meals. A great place to watch the world go by, in the corner of the main square with spectacular views over Taormina, really friendly service. One of the nice things about Castelmola is that it is... More

Visiting Castelmola this week, we stopped at the Caffe for a spot of lunch before catching the bus back to Taormina. The Caffe has a great location, right on Castelmola's main square, with sensational views down over Taormina, along the coast and out to sea. We had cold drinks and a toasted sandwich each. The food was nice and very... More
