We were on a tour in Messina and our tour guide suggested Gallo Cedrone Restaurant. What a nice welcome we received. They couldn't do enough for the 5 of us. We all had the Margherita pizza and some beers. I usually like to sprinkle some red pepper on my pizza and I asked if they had any. Well Roberto came... More

Perhaps because we tend to stay in touristy areas, we have generally found service in restaurants in Italy to be efficient but little more. Not so at Gallo Cedrone; we felt genuinely welcome and we enjoyed a bit of chat with the family who run it. Go for the hospitality, and the amazing view of Etna, and expect simple, tasty... More

I can't understand people giving this one star! The food was wonderful - certainly the best pizza we had in Sicily. Maria and Roberto were charming and there are wonderful views of Etna from the restaurant. Highly recommended.

We stopped there for a glass of wine and decided to go back for lunch. The food, service and view were incredible. They made you feel like you were guest at their home. We received free bruschetta (which was the best) with our meal and a shot of almond wine. I recommend the quint little restaurant.

We stopped for a drink and small snack after walking up from Taormina and were impressed by the welcome we received we came back two days later. The food was nice home cooking, freindly service and all reasonably priced.

This was by far one of my favorite restaurants in all of Italy. We took a bus of to Castelmola did a little sight seeing then found Gallo Cedrone. We spent the rest of the day there eating, drinking and talking to the owner. The food was incredible. I had just a simple lasagna but it was unforgettable. We walked... More

Not only was the pizza and pasta that we ordered good, but the service was very friendly and gratuitous. They gave my party of 4 a free bruschetta appetizer and liquor dessert (shots of a liqueur) for free!

after reading the reviews I thought why not give this place ago, I am an extremely fussing eater and have dietary requirements, but this place accommodated me well for this. we were given a complimentary bruschetta and I scraped off the toppings as don't like texture but the flavours seeped into the bread and to my surprise was extremely worth... Make sure you go hungry !! I ordered an antipasta starter which was huge & sadly meant I struggled to eat even half of my pizza ! The other half ordered the lasagne meal which he declared the best he had tasted, surpassed only by the homemade tiramisu ! Mama doesn't seem to speak English, but we made do with... More
