During years we have been visiting Tuscany and its restaurants. Our eating experiences in the region range from small family run pizzerias to "five stars" sea side culinary jewels, but this summer we enjoyed the best service and the best food that we have come to have in Italy so far. The menu is ample enough and so it is... More

As had to stop for lunch we were thinking to stop in Rosignano Maritimo or Castiglioncello, but then we decided to make a detour to check Vada as wanted to avoid larger and busier towns... glad that we made a good choice. Is a seaside restaurant with the beach available just a few meters. Inside has a nice ambiance, so... More

We were very lucky to stumble on this restaurant while driving up the coast towards Livorno. It was a lovely day - and sea like glass - so the location, with our table almost on the beach, was superb. Only the pair of us (and three German guests who were having a riotous lunch, but did not spoil it) so... More

When you book your table you are asked whether you want to have a pizza or fish. We replied fish. We were received at the entrance by a hostess and taken to our table with a sea view. The menu is not excessive in length but what basically the choice is of a decent variety at accessible prices. Service is... More

La Barcaccina is a fish-based restaurant located on the seaside of Vada, open most of the year, but closed during winter. It is really by the sea, and if you’re lucky enough (no strong wind), you can get accommodated on the terrace, which is literarily by the seaside, and you can enjoy a wonderful sunset while having your dinner. They... More

La Barcaccina is on the seaside. And I mean it ! Our table was 9 meters from the sea, right on the beach. Go there before sunset and you'll enjoy a most beautiful atmosphere. Then the food: it's not simply fresh fish, but it's the fantasy in it. Amazing. The owner is Hamid, an Arab-Italian who attends the dining rooms... More
