Excellent Value for a "Taste of Port Dover"

Two of us visited on a hot Sunday afternoon in May and we enjoyed a fine dinner. The location is convenient, directly across the street from the Erie Beach Hotel. The washrooms were very clean. The hostess was friendly and happy. Brooke was our server and she was knowledgeable and very helpful... read more

Very poor service, terrible salad bar The place wasn't busy and the waitress couldn't be bothered to find out what was in the soup of the day even when she was asked twice. We were 6 people at the table, 3 ordered a sandwich with fries and gravy and all they got were the sandwiches. Fries and gravy were asked... More

Very popular place in Port Dover. had lunch here with some motorbike friends. Service can be fast but our table suffered a bit form very slow service. Rest of the tables were done by the time our meals arrived. I had a beef barley soup and a western both of which were really good. Served piping hot so that helped.... More

Taking in one of the first sunny weekends this season we drove to Dover for lunch. Oddly enough although the restaurant just opened we had to wait for service? Once seated the menu is standard fare. I had the salad bar and my hubby a burger. The salad bar was small consisting of four major salads - bean, carrot, cucumber... More

Food was ok, not great, Service was not great, only two servers on duty and only one was working. I had to go to the kitchen to ask for more coffee, she dropped off our food and never came back to see if we needed anything, we had to go over to another table to get items we need to... More

Been here quite a few times over the years. The value here is quite good in comparison with Erie Beach across the street. There's also a little bar area off to the side off the entrance. Like the Erie Beach, the place could use an upgrade. The atmosphere inside a bit dull. There's an area at the front that's surrounded... More

I've been going to Fisherman's Catch for the perch dinner (own by Knetchel Foods) going on 25 years and the quality and quantity have never changed. The service has always been excellent. This place is a prime example of when you have a good thing don't mess with it. So many restaurants start out good but end up cutting portions... More

Went in for dinner and had the evening's special. Slow cooked pork roast with apples marinated in wine with mashed potatoes (Your choice of potatoes) and fresh vegetables, bun and included the salad bar. Salad bar consists of mixed lettuce salad, macaroni salad, beets, carrot and raisin salad, tomatoes, jellied fruit salad, bean salad and a cucumber salad. Various dressings.... More

Nice location and cosy setting, quite familiar. The fish wasn't very tasty (it's lake fish...), while scallops weren't so bad. Huge portion of soup du jour (mushrooms) but everything not special. Just average dinner in the lakefront.
