So old school its funny.

Look its been around since the 40's. Perch was good (had better in Leamington), fries OK and celery bread top notch. Had a local brew which was pretty good. I don't think this place has changed much from the 40's and why should it? Even on Tuesday at lunch this huge resto was 75% full. My biz... read more

As a child it was always a special treat to get to go to the Terrace Room at the Erie Beach. I started taking my husband there when visiting my parents. Both of us love the perch dinners and the accompanying celery bread. Sometimes we also treat ourselves with the deep-fried vegetables. A nice start to a delicious perch dinner!... More

Great restaurant. Brings back wonderful memories from 30 years ago. Nothing has changed. Love the cart that is wheeled to your table full of delicious salads, and the Lake Erie perch. One update from years ago..they have sweet potato fries. The desserts sounded great too, but we were too full to be tempted. The service was perfect too. We will... More

Over the long, cold winters, I dream about the sunny day when I can return to Port Dover for a meal at the Erie Beach Hotel. The dining room gives me a lovely nostalgic feeling time and time again. We had a lovely lunch of Arctic char, enjoyed the offerings from the salad cart and had two servings of celery... More

Despite having been to Port Dover for beach walks and visits, I had never taken the opportunity to dine at the old Erie Beach Hotel. I was part of a large group- often an unfair way to visit and judge a restaurant. The staff had adapted their methods of service without losing an iota of graciousness. All of our servers... More

I recently dined at the Cove Room with family who visit there quite often. The salad selection placed on our table was very good. I ordered the pickerel dinner which is normally good in the local restaurants in the area but found my pickerel to be very average with some parts of the piece to be extra 'fishy' tasting. My... A bad waiter takes any good taste away from the food. The food was ok but the horrible waiter called Bryan who is far from young maybe in his 50s or even 60s was rude and sarcastic. we were a fun bunch of 5 and he really knows how to destroy someones meal. Stay away and find another waiter to... More

We arrived and were greeted by a middle aged tall guy his name is Bill I think. He never said hi or smiled and pointed us to the table. Never smiled once or said anything pleasant. Was rude and sarcastic when we asked a question about an item on the menu he responded rudely. He brought the food at several... More
