The food is always great and the staff are friendly and attentive. A charming bit of Port Dover history for singles, couples and family dining.

We went to Erie Beach Hotel for lunch. The Food was wonderful and great value. I had Monte Cristo with fries. They bring about 6 large bowls of salads. Coleslaw, cucumber salad, bean salad, marshmellow and peach salad and a big plate of celery, carrots, pickles(both dill and sweet). Their bread is delicious. Thick sliced and toasted with butter. The... More

Recently renovated with bright seaside colours and large photos of Port Dover, the Cove Room at the Erie Beach Hotel offered us great food at lunch (during the Friday the 13th motorcycle rally) without waiting in line! I had cold beef sandwich. Fresh and flavourful. Thirst-quenching local Ramblin' Road pilsener on tap. The Cove Room has an undeserved stigma of... More

Enjoyed a lovely perch dinner, loved the mobile salad bar. Everything was super fresh and delicious, try the pickled pumpkin - very unique. Decor is incredibly old but well preserved and elegant.Nice place for seniors.

I had the steak with the perch and it was pretty good. I guess I am not a fan of breaded fried fish. The steak and baked potato were very good. The service was efficient and friendly. The ambiance is old time lake front. The others in our party were locals and they loved it.

My husband & I took his mom out for her birthday dinner. I haven't been here myself for a long time. First of all, I will say the welcome and the service was great. Celery bread was really good as I remember. The perch and shrimp dish which two of us had was good, I wouldn't say great. My husband... More

Excellent fish meal...with old fashioned jello and fruit salads, pickled pumpkin, beet salad on a mobile salad bar. Great and friendly service....staff friendly too. BUT the rooms need to be seriously updated and refreshed. No clock, tiny 17" tv on a high bureau, dull lighting and ugly paint on walls. No good reading lamps....depressing. BUT very clean and neat, just... More

We summer vacation in the area (Long Point) so we try to get over to Dover at least once in the summer. The food and atmosphere are not upscale dining but it is decent pub food. The celery bread is always great and we usually split a perch platter and have never been disappointed. Until this past January. We happened... More

I've been coming here for 25 years. The perch dinner is as good as it gets and the celery bread is a tasty addition. It's almost always full and that in itself speaks volumes about the quality of food and service.
