Nothing has changed!

A trip to Port Dover is not complete without a meal enjoyed at the Erie Beach Hotel, Cove Dining Room. Not much has changed in all the years I have been coming to the restaurant. The menu is dependable and is consistent in the offerings. Some would say a tad boring, but if it isn't broken don't fix it way... More

A spot we meet at to plan trips overseas with friends. Centrally located for us and a good variety on the lunch meal. The waitress is always friendly and fails to amaze us how she can remember the orders without writing them down.

We get down to Port Dover at least once a year, but had never tried the Erie Beach Hotel and its "world famous perch" until now. Perch hedlines the menu with several offerings with a few other varieties, burgers, chicken, steaks and such, but it's the perch on which they draw. Two dining rooms, the Terrace being the less formal,... More

Ate at the Cove Room after last having been here 25 years ago. Was still great. From the classic decor, famous celery bread and delicious perch. And wonderful service to compliment the food.

We had heard a lot about lake Erie perch and the best place to enjoy them, the Erie Beach Hotel. We chose their Cove Dining Room for lunch. They gave us a nice table by the window and we were surprised by the mobile salad bar (included in price). The serving of perch was generous and tasted just great in... More

Plate of perch, salad cart, and celery seed bread - a perfect combo. Brings back memories of my childhood. Finished it off with a creme de mint parfait. Thank goodness we stayed in the hotel so we didn't have far to waddle back to our room 😉

As everyone else said - the Erie Beach Hotel restaurant hasn't changed in 40? yrs. neither the décor nor the dishes. Very fun, quirky and unpretentious, yet classy. I gave the review an average rating, because, they should be ashamed to serve the vegetables I had on my plate. Previously frozen and grossly overcooked. It only took one bite to... More

As a child it was always a special treat to get to go to the Terrace Room at the Erie Beach. I started taking my husband there when visiting my parents. Both of us love the perch dinners and the accompanying celery bread. Sometimes we also treat ourselves with the deep-fried vegetables. A nice start to a delicious perch dinner!... More
