We ate there 2 nights in a row...the first night my husband and I both ate the BBQ Pork ribs and they were beyond delicious...fall off the bone and tasty! The chef was able to easily deal with my Celiac issues and I could safely eat a wonderful meal. The second night my husband ate pan fried trout and he... More

We were looking for the Musky Widow and it took us a while to figure out that it had a new name. nice pation, friendly staff, good food with a menue a little bit different from the usual dishes. We had chicken (a little salty), duck, vegetarian stir-fry, salad and it was all good.

Food experience that can't be missed. New name is "Spirit of Manitoulin". Chef MATHIEU serves scrumptious meals! Geneviève is a gracious host.

We stayed two nights and ate both nights at the Musky Windows, now called the Spirit of Manitoulin. Firstly, the owners, from Montréal, a husband and wife team are very welcoming and we felt like regular after those two nights. The chef, Matthieu, is passionate about his dishes and everything that we tried (lots of fish), was delicious. Veggies cooked... More

It's my understanding that the chef is wanting to get away from "fast" foods like pizza and hamburgers. When we went for dinner, tnose items where not even offered or on the menu. We were shown a menu with items prices from $22 upwards. Starving, and with no where else to ear AT ALL in the area (everything closes at... More

The restaurant, from the outside, looks a little dodgy but the food is very good. The inside is rustic and the service is reasonably fast and courteous and the meal is home-made and delicious. I had the hamburger and it was one of the best I have ever had. The decor is First Nations art work and it is worth... More

We rode up, at 7:00 pm on Friday, The handwritten sign on the door says "Cash Only"lucky we had cash! The place doesn't look like much, the food is absolutely amazing, the hosts are so much fun. We liked it so much on Friday, the four of us returned on Saturday night,to sample more of the menu.Authentic fresh food, with daily specials.... More

We had MW's recommended to us by our innkeeper and it did not disappoint! The food was excellent, so good that we ended up eating there twice during our long weekend of motorcycle touring. Everyone was refreshingly friendly and open to tell us about all of the goings on around the Island. Very quaint and rustic decor, surrounded by some... More

What a find. Chef is from Montreal and his family work serving on tables. It is refreshing to see a family work together. The food is excellent. There is regular fair like hamburgers, pizza salads etc. then there is high cuizine food. I had the pickerel. Simply scrumptious.
