Pricey but great food and service!

It's my understanding that the chef is wanting to get away from "fast" foods like pizza and hamburgers. When we went for dinner, tnose items where not even offered or on the menu. We were shown a menu with items prices from $22 upwards. Starving, and with no where else to ear AT ALL in the area... read more

We stayed two nights and ate both nights at the Musky Windows, now called the Spirit of Manitoulin. Firstly, the owners, from Montréal, a husband and wife team are very welcoming and we felt like regular after those two nights. The chef, Matthieu, is passionate about his dishes and everything that we tried (lots of fish), was delicious. Veggies cooked... More

The restaurant, from the outside, looks a little dodgy but the food is very good. The inside is rustic and the service is reasonably fast and courteous and the meal is home-made and delicious. I had the hamburger and it was one of the best I have ever had. The decor is First Nations art work and it is worth... More

We rode up, at 7:00 pm on Friday, The handwritten sign on the door says "Cash Only"lucky we had cash! The place doesn't look like much, the food is absolutely amazing, the hosts are so much fun. We liked it so much on Friday, the four of us returned on Saturday night,to sample more of the menu.Authentic fresh food, with daily specials.... More

We had MW's recommended to us by our innkeeper and it did not disappoint! The food was excellent, so good that we ended up eating there twice during our long weekend of motorcycle touring. Everyone was refreshingly friendly and open to tell us about all of the goings on around the Island. Very quaint and rustic decor, surrounded by some... More

What a find. Chef is from Montreal and his family work serving on tables. It is refreshing to see a family work together. The food is excellent. There is regular fair like hamburgers, pizza salads etc. then there is high cuizine food. I had the pickerel. Simply scrumptious.

Excellent family run establishment in a small community. I would definitely come back again and I highly recommend the homemade burgers. FANTASTIC!

So glad we stopped here. Food was excellent; we had good home-made bacon cheeseburgers with lots of fries. The decor is rustic, wood planks on the walls covered with Aboriginal Art by a famous artist. The owners are friendly and personable. I hope I have a chance someday to eat here again. It would definitely be my first stop to... More

After a tire-blowout on the Motor Coach, and getting it stuck in the mud at our RV park, we were in lousy moods when we came in. The special was baked whitefish caught that morning with a tricked-up black bean sauce, and grilled vegetables. The food was terrific, the wine fine. The owner was the chef, and his son the... More
