We enjoyed lunch at this local restaurant. The mood was very friendly and upbeat. The food was typical 'greasy spoon' fare. The staff was very strong and supportive. They have a killer giant date square. All in all a very positive fast lunch experience.

The food here is amazing. A real shock to our group of 15. Our waitress was great. She handled all our orders promptly. The food was so much better than I gad expected. We were all very pleased. I would highly recommend the Anchor Inn Hotel.

We ate here twice, walking up from the harbor, and was pleasantly surprised at the fabulous food at a reasonable price. We were a party of 8 on our first trip and had a variety- Three bean salsa, Chicken wrap, Reuben, whitefish, and the coup de gras - Blueberry Spinach salad with fresh chèvre! I am in love with the... We visited on a busy long weekend and were surprised to sit down on entering. While not fancy the service was fast and food good. My choice was the fried perch special which came hot and appetizing. The Anchor has been there for years and the quality continues to improve. The bar area will give visitors an idea of Island... More

I ordered a bison burger that they recommended having medium rare. It was very lean and tasted good, but it wasn't served at all medium rare, more well done. Came with very ordinary frozen french fries and one spoonful of coleslaw. Did not see the gravy I ordered on the side. The view was nice of the water since we... More

This was our first trip to Manitoulin Island. This restaurant at the Anchor Inn in Little Current was a great spot to stop. The wait staff were very friendly and the food came quickly. We had sandwiches, fish, and beer, none of which was fancy, but fine for lunch. A nice sunny spot across from the marina on one side,... More

What a gem. This small, old hotel/restaurant offers all the traveller needs for a comfortable and relaxing stay on Manitoulin Island.. We stayed three days and enjoyed everything about the place: dinner and breakfast in the restaurant which has deck dining across the street from the gorgeous city marina, the bar, live music on weekends, and a great little 3... My husband and I were there this week and had the Burger. OMG.....this was the best burger ever! It was tasty and yummy. I need to make friends with the cook/chef...lol I would love the recipe . A must have if you go there. Had the steak once before and that too was yummy. The service is good too. Warm... More

Thank you for your kind review. We have a bit of secret way of preparing our burgers. We use lean ground beef from a local shop. We then use a bit of salt and pepper to taste, then make each patty by hand. Many restaurants use frozen hamburger patties. Our food service suppliers try hard to get us to switch... More

Had dinner at the Anchor Inn and it was non-descript. Whitefish was lightly dusted and pan fried but was not overly tasty and vegetables were a standard broccoli veggie blend. We returned the next morning for breakfast, and likewise, nothing we had was above average.
