Delicious Fresh Fish!

I had the pickerel dinner one night, and the fish tacos the next! Both meals were delicious. I particularly enjoyed the home-made bread pudding with Jack Daniels butter sauce.

Hello Icewomen: Thank you for your review of our Hotel. Yes, the fish we serve is fresh, the whitefish we feature daily is the local favorite ( and also used in our fish tacos) and is commercially fished in the cold waters of the North Channel by a company called Purvis Marine. Our Hotel opened in 1888 and I think... More

We had heard a lot about this unique place located in Little Current on the Manitoulin Island so we took a side trip from our visit to Espanola. It was probably the worst ever dining experience in a long time. The service was poor at best, the server was chewing gum, and looked like she was in a hurry to... More

Hello Wallace from Toronto: Thank you for your review. Safe to say your comments are a bit of an our of the ordinary, but that's ok, we appreciate and respect everyone's opinion. We are sorry that your experience did not live up to your expectations. Servers are not supposed to be chewing gum. I am not certain who your server... More

Went for wing night and was craving a ceaser and was pleasently surprised, Sam the bartender listened to my request and made it just like I made it, amazing!

Four of us had the bison burgers one night and it was a unanimous hit!! Sweet Potatoe fries on the side, please. The locally supplied whitefish was delicious another night. Their homemade broccoli soup was declared 'the best ever tasted'! I would definitely rate this place 5 star for taste!

We stopped by here for dinner on our motorcycle tour around the island. Nice old fashioned place with good waitresses and great atmosphere. We had fish tacos and a beer on tap. The tacos were nice and fresh and tasty!! Would definitely return!!

The service was excellent. Food was very fresh and homemade. The fish tacos were crisp and tender, (not greasey like other places) with fresh salsa and homemade sauces. Their flatbreads were awesome too with our favourite being the proscuitto and asiago. The server even recommended a spicy sauce to bring all the flavours together. Our friends also had fish and... Anchor Inn has been a landmark for years. Some servers will even sing a song for you. Never anxious to leave because of the Little Current environs. All is well at The Anchor!
