A local institution. Set in a former antique dealer store our restaurant serves carefully chosen beef meat as well as traditional "Bistrot" recipes. Delicious home-made desserts. All our dishes are cooked from fresh high quality products and producers. Wine is my passion and the wine list is chosen accordingly. There is a lovely and sunny garden where you can have lunch or dinner from spring to fall.

Great food

Was recommended this place by the owner of the B&B we were staying in who booked a table for us. I do advise that you book a table as it is small. Great choice of food and very friendly staff.

I was recommended Le Bistro du Broc when I was visiting a friend in Fontainebleau. This authentic, warm and charming restaurant is a place your French friends want to take you to share a good quality meal in a friendly environment. The food is excellent, from the tender entrecôte to the classic fois gras on brioche bread, and not to... More

Ate there a few times this week. Really great food. I especially recommend the casserole of duck and white beans (Wow), the chicken skewer with potatoes. Owner is a really nice guy with big heart. Service and atmosphere is good. No doubt the best restaurant in the area.

Very friendly owners and food is top quality. We went on recommendation of our accomodation and it was so enjoyable we went two nights in a row. We could walk from our Chambre d'Hote.

I'm not sure if the place has gone downhill since the prior reviews but the food we had wasn't very nice, particularly for the high prices. A small, white fish that tasted like pollock (fish of the day) cost €33 and the half bottle of wine we had was offensively bad. We couldn't escape the hundreds of tiny insects -... More

Dear Guests. You review is so negative it seems quite suspect especially compared to the dozens of five star reviews we received lately. Without joking certain words you used are particularly stunning and questionable such as tiny ... nothing is tiny at the Bistrot du Broc, portions are almost to big for most people ... and such as the wine... We were recommended this restaurant by the local bakers in a village nearby. They spoke little English so we didn't know what to expect. Without the well-dressed people inside, the bistro could have been mistaken for a small local pub. We hadn't reserved a table and it was very busy but the waiter found us a small table for two... My husband and I were staying one night at the chateau de Bourron, which is located just one kilometer from the restaurant. Recommended highly by the count, we head towards it pretty late as it was already close to 10PM. When we asked the restaurant if they were still offering food, we were told that there were only two options... More

Yes, the food was good, as was the atmosphere, but should you favour this over the other 3, 4 star rated restaurants in Bourron Marlotte, it's a matter of taste and preference. If you visit Fontainebleau and you want good food, you best go to Bourron Marlotte where you will find better and cheaper food.

Nice and simple place with great food, specially meat. Great wine selection. Owners are very welcoming. Service is not excellent, but it is ok. You should book a table before going or at least call before to check availability.
