Atmosphere is fun, young entertainers were fun and the music was great level ( you could still hear to carry on a conversation) and entertaining...service was good but food was sub par... disappointing..I would give them another chance but reluctantly...

I'm usually cautious about diners, but True North was a great value. I had the grilled haddock which was done perfectly (not overcooked). My friend had Hamburger Steak which he said was the best he'd ever had (and that's his favourite diner meal). There were 3 entertainers singing and dancing to 50's tunes. The atmosphere was fun. The place was... More

I live relatively close and during a move I was a regular. Typical fare, good burgers, meatloaf, turkey dinners etc.My son says that the Reuben is really good. Deserts look good but aren't. Juke box, that is loud and has 50's music such as Elvis. Very popular with seniors.

I left hungry and at $13.99 for what I alone ordered...I should not have left that way!!! Waitress came to the table once, potatoes were not real and we're more of a paste then a mashed potato. 3 bites and the we're gone...I got more butter then I did potatoes.

I will never go back. My husband and I went for dinner, service was mediocre at best. He had a burger, I had hot turkey sandwich. There may have been 20 fries combined in the meals! Gravy tasted canned (Turkey was real). The highlight was the homemade lemon meringue pie. There are so many other options in Bedford. Try those... More

We ate at the True North tonight for the first time. My husband and I ordered the corned beef and cabbage and it was the best I've ever had (including my home cooked). The cabbage was not soggy, the turnip perfect and the corned beef portion was huge and oh so tender. A friend had the potato skins and I... More

...but a bit bland for my taste. Don't get me wrong, there is lots of variety and they make great, old fashioned milkshakes. The food is well cooked and presented, it's just me. I went twice (deciding to give them a second chance because people rave about this place), but as I said, for me, it's lacking something.
