Average meal...great service

We stopped by here with the family one night and the kids LOVED the giant gum ball machine. They also had servers dressed in 50's skirts singing and visiting each table etc...It was a nice added touch to the diners theme. However, the food was really not that impressive. I was only here once, with a few friends. The milkshakes are delicious !!! Food was quite tasty and the price was good for what you get. I was full when I left. The staff was friendly and the atmosphere brings you back to the 60s. The washroom was clean!! It was pretty busy at lunch time when we were... More

If you read my other reviews, you will see they are usually favorable, including my last review of True North DIner. Today was an exception. We decided to head there after church. It was snowing heavily and not overly busy. I am a brunch person and my children are not, so it was a good option due to the other... More

The other half and I went there last Sat. Was a good choice as I was flying on one wing and couldn't manage a fork with my right hand. Ordered the skins. Were ok but not of the standard of the Bistro, which has the skins market covered. Many were chunks rather than skins. I like a vinegar/sour cream/green onion... More

Went on the recommendation of friends for my wife to have the liver and onions. The main items as well as the accompanying mashed potatoes and vegetables were properly cooked. As a vegetarian, it was more difficult for me to choose. Went with the all day breakfast (sans bacon). Average quality. Did not try the appealing looking desserts. Wait staff... More

I love to visit this restaurant for two reasons. The 60's atmosphere is wonderful and the food is good. I particularly enjoy the grilled haddock which is perfectly cooked and delicious. The Chardonnay is also a favourite of mine. Entertainers are there certain nights of the week and they're good too. This is just a great place to meet up... More

My husband and I so enjoyed True North Diner. We both had the Sunday brunch buffet. Superb omelets, deliciously tangy baked beans and the best buttermilk biscuits ever! I asked to speak to the biscuit maker and told her to pack her bags, that we were kidnapping her and taking her home with us. Cute atmosphere - quintessential diner!

The True North Diner really is a little gem. It's on the edge of a shopping centre in the town of Bedford (Bedford Place Mall) and serves up great diner food in a 1950s atmosphere. Each of the booths around the edges has a small jukebox and there's 1950s music playing on the sound system. The waitresses wear circle skirts... More

We went to thie diner based on a recommendation from family who go there quite regularly. The atmosphere was nice, the servers excellent and the food delish. I only didn't give it a 5 star because it's difficult to rate a diner against some of the higher end fine dining places and give both 5's. This is your average everyday... More
