Went with M.X to celebrate our anniversary. I still can't understand how this charming little place has escaped our notice after all these years! Well worth the wait.. Had the tasting menu which was divine. My only criticism is that there is a bit too much salt in the food. I don't use it much so am a little bit... More

I got engaged at this restaurant, and now I came here a second time to celebrate my pregnancy with my parents and in-laws. Since I'm pregnant I should've kept to just a main dish because I can't eat a whole four course meal anymore apparantly. But I did it anyways and got to taste a bit of every meal. They... More

Extraordinary delicious food, wines and service. We had been to this restaurant about 20 years ago and decided to give it a try for my sister's birthday dinner. All 4 of us were blown away with our experience that night. We have traveled all over the world and eaten in many great restaurants and this one certainly rates among the... More

One of the BEST place to dinner around Ottawa-Gatineau, great atmosphere and service for waiter Alex and chef Jean-Claude.

Had a great dinner with an old friend. I have been to L'Orée on several occasions, and I must say I have yet to be disappointed. The food and service is always impeccable. The only disappointment was the limited wine selection.

This is our go to restaurant when we have a special occasion. There is always something different to eat and the table d'hôte is an excellent value. They serve wild meats and the wine pairing is great. They are located in a remote corner of a quaint little town in Gatineau Park. The food, the service and the wine list... More

The theme is lobster this month for the Sunday Brunch which coincided with Mother's Day A lobster bisque, lobster salad, lobster claws and for main course a lobster paella, Dessert was a mixture of rice pudding, pears and a nice cake. Service was first class as was the food. Both mom's were very happy! And then there is the Quebec... More

In the past we have enjoyed this restaurant but this was not the case this evening. The service was very disappointing. It seemed we had to wait for everything and near the end we had to start demanding to get served. The waiter and waitress would disappear for extended length of time. The hostess decided to have a 30 minute... More

Nice restaurant located right beside the Gatineau Park. The food is always amazing at this place. I usually stick to the classic such as the bouillabaisse and the lamb. I tried the mushroom feuilleté and I was quite impressed. The service is always great with lots of attention. Wine selection was also very good with nice private imports. Price are... More
