Taken here for my very first time by my daughter and her BF for my birthday. Food was delicious and cooked using organic ingredients. They grow their own herbs, I was told, and saw the garden from which they came! I was treated like royalty with treats and cake and sparklers (on the house). Warm atmosphere although in need of... My wife and I went there after 10+ years. There's been a change of owners since but we weren't disappointed with our meal: foie gras de canard, confit de canard, creme brulee, lovely! Service was very good. Read some comments that people found the place pricey but it's inline with expectations for that kind of restaurant. Most of the wine... More

Nice restaurant. Extremely nice service. The food was not bad. The menu was interesting but that the taste was not exceptional. We enjoyed the experience overall.

We had for starters excellent escargots and mousse de foie gras de canard......both very very good ! Then my girlfriend had the pot au feu de fruits de mer ( almost like a seafood soup or stew )...that was pretty good, and I had the feuillete de petoncles ( scallops ) and that was good too but not excellent! total... Yesterday, we had our wedding celebration and meal at L'Oree du Bois and could not have had a more amazing and spectacular day. We had the celebration in the garden. The staff were extremely helpful and courteous and went out of their way to ensure everything was perfect. The meal we had was simply delicious as all of the guest... More

My husband and I flew from Victoria to Ottawa, and my sister raved about this restaurant!! It was a good drive but the area reminded me of a quaint little resort village. Serve was great, perfect amount of time between or appetizer & entree's! Our server, was very patient, as our French is quite rusty, we found out she was... More

We drove from Ottawa . The drive was about 45 minutes but well worth the drive. The Champignon Rack consisted of 5 different mushrooms . It was excellent. The scallop dish that I ordered was superb. Huge scallops nicely seared and tasty .

Enjoyed the food overall, found the Table D'hôte to have a nice variety, We were a group of 5 and started dinner at 6 pm, .While the menu had some variety I had to get my husband to read the menu as the lighting is too low and most cannot read it. I was pretty impressesd as the maitre d'... More

I love going to this restaurant. With an seasonal changing menu, you always get something new. They offer a delicious table d'hote and an accompanying wine pairing if you wish. Their wine selection is good and rages taht are not overpriced. The atmosphere is excellent and their service is exceptionnal. A must if you love delicious food.

Celebrated our daughters graduation in June 2014 and chose this restaurant for its beautiful setting in the Gatineau Park. I had not eaten here in a very long time and it did not disappoint. I had the Mixed Green salad with goat cheese, fantastic!. Others had the Carmelized Onion soup and it was also fantastic. As a main course, 2... More
