High quality in cozy location

Very nice location in Old Chelsea, at the gates of the Gatineau Park. The restaurant combines high quality food and excellent service with an informal atmosphere. A varied and original menu. Many of the dishes have a local flavor, much inspired by the rural setting. One of the best options for a... read more

As I said in a previous post, I've been a regular of this resto as I live nearby. Instead of the Table d'Hôte we went for an entry and a main course. They have only one type of salad as entry and it was $ 7,75 for a Spring Mix or whatever they call those at the market these days... More

I was invited by my boyfriend's family to celebrate 25 years in business. I recall the food was very delicious and I met his business associates and friends. I tried a appetizer that I never tried before, pate.

A lovely private upstairs room accommodated our small group wedding reception dinner. The group menu provided a good selection of options and a substitution for a couple of young guests was willingly provided. The caramelized onion soup was a wonderful start to the dinner and the five small desserts on a plate were homemade and an excellent finish to a... More

Outside of France this place is my benchmark for French Country cooking. Having lived and traveled extensively in France I can say that there is no other restaurant that can so effortlessly transport you back without the hefty airfare. Their menu is varied, thoughtful, rich and invariably paired with a perfectly balanced reduction or sauce together with an extensive wine... More

I have a new favourite and it's just a couple kilometres from Camp Fortune ski area in Chelsae Quebec. (A 20 minute drive from most areas of Ottawa). The staff was incredible, especially the hostess in front. Service is bilingual. We went on New Year's Eve and I had never heard anything about the place, although my partner has wanted... More

Great food and service. Have been there several times and am never disappointed. The ambiance combined with food selection and wine really works. The service is top shelf.

I had friends from Ottawa visiting and decided we would treat them to one of Chelsea's best restaurants... L'ORÉE DU BOIS! Excellent menu, very classy European feel to the place but not snobby or pretentious at all! The staff is very pleasant and very knowledgeable of the menu and make explanations simple so that it is an experience each and... More

Haven't been to Loree du Bois for ages so was looking forward to some great French food, and it didn't disappoint. Went with a large group and everyone enjoyed their respective choices. It was quite busy but it did not affect the service; all the wait staff were very friendly and efficient. The seafood soup, braised rabbit and creme brulee... More
