Good food at great prices

We visited here three times in ten days as it was one of the closest tavernas but we could always rely on having good food and big portions. Choice of British or traditional Greek we tried a few different dishes. The homemade polish bread was lovely and the moussaka freshly made and beautiful. All... read more

went here on our second night in kefalos, whilst exploring the area. nice looking restaurant, had the stifado and gyros which were both nice, esp liked the vegetables which were carrots, cabbage all chopped up, was really nice to have veg as most restaurants either had none or they had frozen veg. not too expensive either.

We went here after reading the reviews on this site and having walked past the restaurant on a few occasions. We had a nice Greek salad plate consisting of stuffed vine leaves, meatballs, olives and pitta bread, it was nice and filling. We both the chose pasta dishes, a bolognese and a Greek alternative. Both dishes were plentiful and the... More

Gosia is Polish, speaks broken English, but is always welcoming and friendly, and a great cook generous with her portions. Amongst other group meals, we had a wedding breakfast there (their first, I am led to believe) which was incredible - Greek meze starter course with all manner of great dishes - roasted cheese stuffed peppers, hummus, tzatziki - in... Used this great restaurant every night on 2 holidays to kos. The food is very good and the owners and staff are lovely. Was our wedding anniversary one night and we were presented with a beautifully wrapped bottle of wine! Won't hesitate to eat here on future visits. Wonderful.

Not a bad word to say. The food was perfect, and the owner and waitress extremely helpful and friendly. Would definitely recommend the Greek platter!

Maybe its because it was beginning of season but we were disappointed we could not change the vegetables from the standard chips, rice etc to the greek potatoes. The waitress seemed friendly and the food of a fairly good standard.

We love Kos and Kefalos in particular. This is one of the best restaurants in town.Whether it's a morning coffee, a cold post-swim drink, lunch or a full evening meal, there is always a warm relaxed welcome at Gosia's. The food is traditional Greek made with obvious love and attention to detail by the lovely Polish owners. Service is always... More

We were there twice and we wish we could have been there more often. The best Greek food on the whole Kos island! Huge portions, very nice and talkative owner - Gosia. She advised us and spoke with us every time she had little time. She was very interested in our stay and on our opinion about her food. The... More

This restaurant probably gave us the biggest portions of all those we tried and it was really good. Very quite as we were at the end of Sept early October but the staff were still pleasant and friendly. The little bar next door was very welcoming too
