The food here is very nice and also has a lovely view of the beach , would recommend at least one meal here during your stay in Keflos
After visiting Captain John's which unfortunately had closed for the season we decided to try Argo as it appeared to have a similar ambience. Big mistake, we both chose to have the Moussaka, myself with the 'special' Greek salad and Sue the standard menu item. The Moussaka was stodgy and bland as well as being a very small portion. The... Just come back from another holiday in Kefalos ,we still think Argo is the best by miles . The Tuesday and Friday lunch times are very busy with coaches from Kos town ,on round the island trips ,but Michael always warns us there coming . The Kleftico ,in the clay pot is still my favourite ,and must be world famous... More
Been going to Argos since 1995, visiting on average every two years. As previous comments the food and service are excellent, not to mention the sea view. Also available are beds and umbrellas just in front of the restaurant. The hospitality and service are second to none. The latest attracton is Carmen, the lovely puppy who will be two when... More
We've eaten here many times over the past three visits to Kefalos and are always welcomed by Mixaylis! Food is always very good, excellent wine and a nice atmosphere overlooking the beach. The live entertainer on Saturday evenings was an enjoyable bonus! Great evening!
Family run Greek taverna, great setting but also great food. We ate here early October but service consistently good. Always ended up having lunch here! Long long lunches as you do!! They do have visits from the, round the island type tours, but this was never a real issue as they usually go within an hour, and the staff easily... More
Really great restaurant with great sunsets and great food! What more do you need to say! Role on June 2014 - Stuffed Peppers, Humous (Best in Kefalos) to review a few of the great starters, the hospitality is great - Thanks for great food see you again soon
Our visit to Argo was with 8 friends making a total of ten for dinner but the service was top class and the food as good as ever. The night was made extra special when an English guy with guitar got up and started to sing. Before long the whole of the restaurant was singing along with him and went on well... The food was the best of the week, service excellent. They didn't rush you and were very attentive. You will pay around 10% more than other restaurants, but it was worth it. Stifado is a must at this restaurant. Don't go for Med white house wine as it is really sweet. Go for the dry instead.
