Been a few times now for both lunch and dinner. Excellent service, intriguing menu well presented. And beers and ciders are great to experiment.
Enjoyed a great selection of sharing plates with friends on a Sunday night. The wine list is small but has some really interesting wines. I am Gluten free and found the plenty of options which included yummy cheese rolls called chipas. Some reviews i read said they found the food expensive, I personally found most plate sizes very generous and... More
I have only been here for lunch twice and I have been trying to get back for dinner ever since. Really great tapas with with the fusion of Spanish and Italian flavours. The Twice smoked Pork Belly is a stand out with a really interesting series of sides. A whole range of beers on tap and if that is not... More
A fabulous restaurant with the most delicious tapas and the beer wheel is a must have item too! Highly recommend for friends or couples heading out and wanting to share a few different tapas... The raw scallop ceviche is to die for!
Came here for a special occasion on a Saturday at lunchtime, and booking is certainly recommended, if not essential. The restaurant calls itself "Argentinian-inspired", I'm not sure if this is an accurate description, but then again it's not inaccurate. They serve mainly tapas-style meals, so sharing plates that are slightly overpriced and encourage diners to buy more, and hence pay... More
Shared the suckling pig with 5 friends recently and it was very, very good. Great crackling, plenty of meat and the sides that come with the pig are excellent. Standout salad was the apple coleslaw which complimented the pork perfectly. Service was excellent.
Very impressed with the food, seemed pretty reasonable prices. We ordered a 1/4 pig and was plenty of meat for 4, the salads were quite good. The beer was very good also. It's has a feel as a different place with a different kind of menu but a great experience.
Tasty, different, dishes. With sharing in mind, there are some inventive and tasty dishes. Nothing is ordinary or typical of any other cafe or restaurant I've eaten at in Melbourne. Great space, friendly staff, all round fun. Great for groups, birthdays, a bit of fun, they have a brewary too. Doesn't look like much on the outside, but a pleasant... More
I have been to the True South few times for Sunday lunch as I live nearby and always very happy with the vibrant menu's choice Mauro (the Argentinean chef) has put together travelling around the world and the great beers brewed in the place. Beautiful venue also for functions and banquets upstairs with great view of the Bay.
Exceptional food and service. We had Saffron Risotto, lentils, black spuds and duck. Excellent wine and beer list. Very cosy without being too close. Lots of families enjoying the good food. very good knowledgeable staff.
