Fabulous food and not outlandishly expensive (beautiful fresh fish and seafood), and good, attentive service. And fabulous view - you can't do better in Melbourne for views than this. Be sure to book ahead as it is very popular (with good reason), especially if you are a large group.

If you're in Melbourne and you want a long lunch with excellent food, lovely ambience and excellent service, this should be on the shortlist. The menu is sophisticated, imaginative and intriguing. The food lives up to expectations. You come away thinking 'very, very nice experience'. If you choose the more technically difficult dishes, such as a souflèe this turns up,... More

Cerberus is quite local for us and we have been there a few times and have never been disappointed . The staff are lovely and the food is beautiful ,well presented and fairly priced. I always try to have special menu items in any restaurant and find it allows the chef to show their best work. Cerberus is beautifully located... More

Beautiful day in Melbs, they should have expected a good turn out. Had to wait 1 hr for fish and chips (not acceptable for a cafe/take away) and staff not friendly. Won't be back that's for sure :/

Easy to book instantly online. $5 per hr car park. Picturesque setting in half moon bay. Friendly greeting and warm service throughout. Relaxing ambiance set by the serene view and enjoyable live music (1 singer guitarist). Sunday evening clientele was a mix of couples, families and a small group. Window tables rather romantic as the sun sets on the sea... More

This place is everything that everyone in all the others have praised it for and then probably more. I defy you to find a place with a better coastal view, its in the bayside car park, looking at the red cliff faces, the water, the cerberus, the pier, and newport in the distance accross the water, and city views accross... After four years living in Black Rock we thought it was high time we paid a visit to the Cerberus Beach House. It has always been well known for its take away first class fish and chips beach café (which we still haven't tried!) and the fact that you cannot just walk upstairs to the restaurant any time of the... We arrived at 7pm, pleased to have a nice table for 2 by the window. However, children at the next table playing noisy electronic games made us ask to be moved to another table. Our waiter was most understanding and helpful and moved us elsewhere with no fuss. After all, the restaurant is advertised as a family restaurant rather than... More

A fabulous little restaurant with amazing views, friendly efficient service and yummy food! This restaurant would have million dollar views during the day. We will definitely be back to check it out.
