A must-do during our stay in La Granja was a meal at Casa Zaca. Note, they are only open for lunch, and quite popular. We ordered a tripe dish, and the lengua (tongue), which were both quite unique and wonderfully done. Our host, one of the owning family, suggested a wonderful Rioja Crianza wine to complement the meal. This restaurant... More

We went there to eat "Judiones de La Granja" this is a typical dish that many restaurants around Segovia, Spain will offer but no other well known restaurant that we visited during our trip was able to match this excellent dish preparation. We were also introduced to another very unique specialty dish "Patatas a la Importancia" and finished our lunch... More

Located in the center of La Granja or the Royal site of San Ildefonso you can eat at Casa Zaca. Hundreds of years ago the building was used as a Coaching Inn (or Mail Coach-House) and also offered meals to travelers. However, in the 40´s Mr. Zacarias Peinador opened its doors to a restaurant; cooking for us the traditional dishes... More

My husband and I had a great lunch in this restaurant. They had an English translation of their menu (thank you!), and the owner recommended us some local specialities. You must try the local dish with the large white beans - delicious!

Good choice for a nice lunch. You'll find all the typical dishes in their menu. Good cooking. The rooms could be more accessible as they have a tiny ground floor and a higher accessed only by stairs. Anyway, good place to enjoy.

We came visit to La Granja and timed our visit to try this restaurant. It is only open for lunches. They open at 1.30pm. You would need to make a reservation if later in the year as it was very busy. We had a very helpful waiter who spoke good English and the menu was in English & Spanish ,... More

My husband, daughter and I visited La Granja this morning and after touring the Palace and grounds, we stopped for lunch at Casa Zaca. We were pleasantly surprised by the courteous effort our waiter made to review the menu with us. We were the only anglophones in the restaurants; there were no photos of the dishes; there were no English... More
