A lesson in gluten free Italy...

We stopped in this quaint Medieval town for lunch. At this restaurant we got our best lesson on eating gluten free in Italy. As my wife is gluten free, we thought Italy would be huge challenge. Turns out it wasn't. They do have better tasting GF pasta than the states. However here is a big key to... read more

Had lunch there today on the smaller covered terrace. Lovely ambience with views over the countryside. Food was excellent with all the Tuscan tastes plus the Chef's additions.

I loved this resaurant. We kind oif stumbled on to it while visiting this beautiful, unique midevil city. First they brought out the best balsamic and oive oil with a beautiful basket of different types of bread and breadsticks. OMG!!! So great. We were there for lunch so I decided to have a salad and pasta. This was so fresh... More

Great staff. Porta was so helpful in connecting us with a fabulous B&B down the street, Casa Pei, which is also a MUST! We had a fabulous meal of pear salad, grilled lamb and grilled vegetables and we can not wait to go back! If you ever stop in Lucignano, it is a MUST!

... hilltop tuscan village. Good meat - we had the bistecca fiorentina - and and good choice of wine. Unfortunately a rainy evening that prevented us to enjoy the terrace that was looking nice though.

We stopped in here after a day of wine tasting in the region. The restaurant was fairly deserted on a Monday evening, and therefore felt a little cavernous. The decor inside was quite nice, but the soundtrack (maybe The Who?) was an odd choice. The food was pleasant - I enjoyed a rich ravioli-like pasta with truffles and cream, and... More

This was my third visit to La Rocca over the past 6 years and I was not disappointed to come back. The restaurant changed location in Lucignano but not its high standards. The interior is as beautiful as before, with tasteful decoration in Tuscan style. We were a group of 6 this time so each of us ordered different meals,... More

Sally & I had the pleasure of dining at "La Rocca" in Lucignano and we found it to be the finest dining experience of our trip. The atmosphere is breathtaking, with it's rolled brick walls and multiple frescos. The service was outstanding, but the food was what put this ristorante on top. If beef (Chianina) is what you crave then... More
