The service was slow, although the staff were very nice. My dinner was tasty but a found a hair in it. I didn't tell them as I didn't want a fuss. I was expecting amazing but it fell short.

Nice bar area to sip pre dinner cocktails with a comprehensive drinks menu. Service was painfully slow, having arrived at 8.15, sat down at 8.30, our order wasn't taken until 9 dinner managed to stretch til 11.30. It wasn't even that busy, staff looked bored as they kept walking past. Was even a struggle to get our bill despite it... More

My wife and I had a lovely lunch here from the fixed price short menu. I had fish which was cooked perfectly and my wife the chicken dish. We both had a lovely dessert. The house wine is good and very reasonable at £2.50 a glass. I have previously reported and think that the food was cooked to a much... More

Brasserie Blanc in Berkhamsted kicked off well, but has unfortunately lapsed into lazy cooking and service. Needs lots of TLC, Raymond.

This is an updated review to one I posted back in May 2012, which was based on a couple of visits to Brasserie Blanc when it first opened in Berkhamsted. Our main problem then was a few issues with the food and overbooking of the restaurant. During a recent visit on a Sunday evening, we had a disappointing experience, the... More

Came here at short notice for eight (four kids and four adults). Was welcomed warmly and great service from start to finish - apart from one issue that downgraded me from 4 to 3 stars. Shame, but overall really enjoyed the meal. Great sirloin steak. Rare, crispy crust, perfectly cooked. Rest of dishes were also received really well ". Roast... More

We had a recommendation from friends on Brasserie Blanc in Berkhamsted and followed it up for lunch yesterday. Warm welcome to pleasant surroundings and linen napiery. Music discreet in the background. Although busy it was a relatively quiet place to eat. Ate from the excellent value fixed price menu. Food was delicious, serving piping hot without any undue delays, Obviously... More

We visited here for our pre Xmas lunch with our friends. What a big mistake! The staff are just totally incompetent and not trained, they just do not seem to know what they are doing or understand customer service--Terrible! The food took ages to arrive and we were told that 2 of the chefs had gone on holiday and they... More
