Visited here last week with three friends for a birthday meal. The building itself is impressive with a delightful, grand interior and comfortable seating. Service was attentive and professional, and this is definitely a great place to go for a special occasion. A good menu choice and the food was nicely presented and really tasty, although portions rather on the... More

This was my first visit to The Gatsby. I had booked dinner here for a family birthday. The food was enjoyable and flavorful. There was enough food for everyone and we all had a wonderful time. The live pianist playing in the background was a great touch.

5 of us ate at The Gatsby on a Friday evening- pre cinema. Very attentive service, drinks carried up for us from bar to our table. The food reminded me of our daughter's 18th birthday celebrated in Marylebone High Street, equally as impressive a menu and equally as delicious. The waitresses were very attentive without imposing on our family supper.... More

I've dined here a handful of times and find the decor delightful and food thoroughly enjoyable. I echo much of what has been written. It is impressive, the standard of food is excellent, and music (on occasion) is very enjoyable too. It is a great place to go for an 'occasion'. Although the service was, as another reviewer mentioned, less... More

We were tempted to eat at the Gatsby before an evening performance at the Rex cinema next door and were persuaded to change our reservation from another eaterie due to all the glowing reviews. There are two positives about the Gatsby: the dining room has been beautifully restored, it is really impressive; and its pre-cinema menu offers good value for... More

I booked The Gatsby as a treat for my sister and her husband and myself and my husband as she had wanted to go here for a while. Unfortunately, the day before one of my nephews got sick and they couldn't come so although I wasn't really fussed decided rather than cancel my husband and I would go anyway...am absolutely... Mid-week lunch is excellent value. There are four choices at each course. A glass of wine or beer is included for £14.75. I had an unusual soup of squash, lentils & a mixture of ingredients which was really tasty. I then had seared salmon with Thai vegetables and a chilli sauce which was excellent with well balanced flavours. The food was attractively... More
