Popular empanada place

This empanada place is definitely the most popular and you will almost always see crowds of young people waiting for their food outside during tourist seasons. This empanada place is definitely the most popular and you will almost always see crowds of young people waiting for their food outside during tourist seasons. They are all deep fried and with cheese but there are some interesting options... More

Love this place. You have to wait a few minutes but it is worth it. They make the empanada when you order it and they have about 50 to choose from. Usually fried empanadas aren't as stuffed but these ones are filled generously. Try the jaiba, ciboulette and tomate. Amazing

We stayed in Pichilemu for a few days and ate here almost twice a day because it was close, cheap, and really good. We tried a lot of types but our absolute favorite was with camarones, ciboulette y queso (shrimp, chives and cheese). The empanadas take a little longer but are big, made to order and piping hot. We would... More

Tough to find but great home-made empanadas in a typical Chilean outdoor pic-nic area once you get inside.

I only went once and ordered an empanada (chicken, corn, cheese) it was good, very big! Made fresh, but that means you wait longer for your piping hot snack! Note the address for this place in trip advisor is INCORRECT. It is actually close to the Center of town near the beach, can't remember the street name but look on... More

As far as empanadas go, I always prefer empanadas del horno (baked) but as far as fried empanadas go, these were pretty good. They were big, and fresh (well freshly fried), good ingredients inside and not tooooo expensive ($3-$4 each). They've got 30+ varieties to chose from including tons of seafood and fish, as well as chicken and beef. And... More

What everyone else says is true. Above avarage fried empenadas at good price [for Chile]. Only suggestion is that you order the ones with cheese, because the ones without cheese are dry and not so tasty. We will return.

All my life I thought I knew what the definition of an empanada was until I was holding in my hand a gigantic empanada stuffed with cheese and shrimp. When I had first gotten to Chile everyone was raving about the empanadas and I didn't know why. But as I stuffed my mouth with the cheesy goodness, i now knew... More

Definitely a good value - great seafood empanadas. The "del horno" from-the-oven options are definitely more authentic, but they are also not always fresh (often re-heated). Service here is awkward, but at least the empanadas are always fresh since you cannot re-heat a fried empanada.
