Interesting option for your Sunday brekky! We were lucky to get a table pretty quickly for our Sunday breakfast. After a long deliberation ( breakfast menu is pretty extensive) we went 3 different options. Coffee was served pretty promptly, we had outdoor (* kind –a sitting) and we were enjoying Sunday sun. Our order came within reasonable waiting time (... More

Been hearing this place from most people that went to Melbourne. I tried my self two weeks ago. Like the atmosphere, a bit crowded and pack maybe because its still breakfast time. The waiter seem a bit rush in asking menu so i don't really hv time to ask about the coffee. But they do hv great coffee and the... More

This place is quintessential Melbourne. It's open-hearted and bright, hectic yet ordered, and wildly welcoming. Really interesting food choices worth joining the (seemingly) inevitable queue in the lane for, including simply the best salad ever – their ancient grains offering. Even the crumpets are like nothing you've ever seen before. Or tasted. The staff are actually worth tipping ... generously!... More

This cafe is a bit hard to find because it is in an alley and no signage at the front. We came to this café based on recommendation from our Melbournian friend and truly enjoyed the experience. Our breakfast specials were awesome and the cafe's atmosphere made it even more special. I also bought their Kenya Mutheka coffee which was... More

5 of us went to St Ali's Sunday morning, we recieved a very warm welcome from the owner at the door and were seated prompty after that. The place looks like a garage from the outside but it has the wow factor once you walk through the door. The menu was very interesting and we all loved our meals, the service... More

We walked from the city to have breakfast and were not disappointed. Funky urban feel with nice morning sun coming thru the windows. I had the special which was a mushroom dish and it was brilliant, maybe the nicest breakfast I have had for some time. Juices and coffee also spot on.

This is a very funky and rustic cafe with a great atmosphere. It is not in the central part of Melbourne but worth the short taxi ride. My partner ordered the Mexican Cousin and I had one of specials they had for the day which was a mushroom, onion, hash brown, truffled egg thingy = AMAZE!!! Even though they were... More

My friend and I went there after an early morning flight looking for a decent breaky to refuel. St Ali's exterior was quite deceiving but as soon as you walk through the door you know your in Melbourne. This unique cafe is warm and inviting, the food was exquisite and the service was great! Would definitely recommend to anyone going... More

Such fantastic coffee and a good feed. As a Sydney Sider, this is a Melbourne favourite. You'll always find a fantastic cup of coffee here and a good meal. Be prepared to wait for a table on weekends, but it is worth the wait. If you're alone, you'll usually get seated quickly amongst the chaos of crowds, but I've never... More
